Our last Fall Mini Silky breeding is our new girl Phantom x Toby. Phantom is 22.5” tall, a bigger bodied doe with a GORGEOUS coat. I LOVE how elegant this girl is. She earned her first point at the Malad Rumbling Mountain Show. Toby should bring down her size while enhancing her coat and maintaining her amazing top line. Toby is 22” tall at the wither at just under 3 years of age - so will stay under the new/upcoming MSFGA show height limit. He can take a walk to a new farm since I’m keeping his half brother.

Sire: Frassenei Farms Toblerone

Dam: GCH Tumbling Tresses Farm Phantom

*Note: Phantom is polled with head hair

Also due in October…

Check out this Mini Silky pairing! Kelvin is a gorgeous buckskin and Karmy is an adorable chocolate girl with a soft, silky, shiny coat. She’s one of our smallest statured does, but is wide, has a super top line and bone. Kelvin should add just the right amount of refinement to her neck/head/ears. 🩷

Sire: MCH CCF3 Kelvin (o/b SFR)
Dam: 2xGCH Frassenei Farms Karmann Ghia

Karmann couldn’t be shown this year due to a severe eye injury. But it’s all healed up and she’s ready to welcome babies! I’m hoping to get her back into the show ring to hopefully 🤞 finish in 2027.

What an awesome, fun-filled week with my amazing goat friends! We traveled from our respective farms in Oregon, California, Utah and Idaho to the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR) Fall Finale and Nationals in Central City, KY. So great to meet other breeders in person. Amazing goats. I learned so much. Already planning a return trip in 2028!

Some pics from the farm today! Four pregnant does (3 pictured) got spa days, Porter and Scout got pedicures. Waylon the LGD just being his usual goofy, Velcro boy.

This boy…SMH 🥴… he gets stuck in the fence almost every week. The girls in the next pen over are apparently much cuter than the girls in his pen. So out I go to pull him out by the back legs.

What an amazing weekend at the Rumbling Mountain Mini Silky Fainting Goat Show!! Thanks to Kristi Skor Christophersen and crew for such a well run event! I don’t usually take the dogs, but Pearl had to come along after getting stung in her right front paw, which was quite swollen so I needed to keep an eye on her. She’s a rescue and this was a lot for her, but she did really well.

I am so proud of my little goats! They did so well with some pretty stiff competition. The yearlings are finally coming into their own. Some highlights (pending verification):

FF Sirius received a Grand Champion and a Reserve!

Randolph’s Tiramisu received a Grand champion.

The seniors also did well!

Tumbling Tresses Phantom got a Grand and a Reserve!

SMF Honey Quartz won a Reserve Grand. No pic available.

Great to see my goat family and hang out. thanks to you, my friend Jenifer, Tobey for taking pictures and sending them to me.

See everyone next year!

Naomi gave me a heart attack today. I turned to look at her and thought she was bleeding. Nope…she just got too close to the barn she was “helping” me paint.

For a “feral” barn cat, she sure enjoys hanging out with me.
