"Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur, with the fur!" -Toothless

Toothless has a confession to make. He likes his fur boots.

His name also isn't entirely accurate. He does have teeth.

Toothless came into the shelter a lost kitty full of matted fur and some really bad breath! Our boy was a mess! We gave him a good dental where we found he was missing 7 teeth, and had to have 4 more pulled, so while he is missing a good number of teeth, he still has some. We estimate this sweet boy to be about 12yrs young, and he is nothing but love!

🌟 HAPPY TAILS: MEMPHIS 🌟

Our sweet mohawk kitty Memphis has officially found his forever home! 🐾💛

He is doing amazing, settling in, taking the best cat naps of his life, and fully embracing the “spoiled house cat” lifestyle he deserves.

Even better? He’s already made a new kitty friend to share the love with!

How is Jessie still here?!

This little Heeler/Corgi mix is so stinkin' cute and sweet! We truly cannot believe how she hasn't been scooped up yet!

Jessie is about 2yrs old, does well with other dogs, and has the cutest short little legs! While she is short in stature, she is not short on charm!

Someone is going to be VERY lucky to end up with this little low-rider! We just hope they find her soon!

Every bone in his body was showing when Blu first came into our care.

In animal welfare, we use a body condition scoring scale from 1-9, with 5 being healthy, and 9 being obese.

Blu was a 1. This is what neglect looks like. There was nothing medically wrong with Blu causing him to lose weight. He simply was not being fed or cared for. Now, after receiving proper care, nutrition, and love, Blu has made an incredible transformation! He has gained healthy weight, reached a normal body condition score of 5, and is finally ready to begin a new chapter!

Blu is estimated to be about 4yrs young. He loves toys, playing, and has done well with other dogs, too! Blu isn't asking for much. More than anything he wants to know what a home filled with safety, love, full meals, and people who will never let him down is like.

Watching dogs like Blu recover is one of the most rewarding parts of this work. Seeing them get into a home where they’re safe, cared for, and loved is even better. Come meet Blu, today!

Cookie and Apple are 2yrs male guinea pigs looking for a new home!

Guinea pigs make wonderful little companions! They’re gentle, social, and full of personality, and they thrive on routine, cozy spaces, fresh veggies, and a bit of daily interaction. One of the best parts? Their tiny “wheeks” and happy squeaks when they know food or attention is coming!

It's almost been a full year with our sweet Izzy in our care, and we are sad to say that things have not been going in the direction we would have liked to see for her. 💔

Recently, she began limping pretty heavily. After a veterinary exam we learned she has an injury similar to an ACL tear in her knee. She will be undergoing surgery today with our friends at Idaho Humane Society in hopes of improving her comfort and quality of life moving forward.

We will continue to update once she is healed and ready for any showings, in case that special someone has been waiting just for her!

We received the BEST update about Blossom, and it completely made our day!!

Her family shared that they adopted her 5 years ago this month after seeing her Petfinder profile, it was instant love at first sight! While her husband needed a little convincing at first, he quickly fell just as hard for her once they met her in person.

Since then, Blossom has gone from a shy little kitty into a big fluffy ball of sass and personality. She enjoys people-watching from the windows, cat spring toys, cozy naps in her office chair, and will come running the second she hears a whipped cream can open!

She’s also been on quite the adventure moving from Idaho to Utah and back again, and now she’s stepped into an even bigger role as a big sister to a human sibling! They chase each other, share toys, and get into all kinds of toddler-kitty mischief together!

Her family says it best: "Blossom is the best fluffy family member we could have ever asked for!" 💛

These are the stories we live for! Thank you to Blossom's family for choosing adoption and giving Blossom the best home and family she could have asked for!

We truly do not understand how Benny is still here. 💔

Benny is only 9 months old and has already spent the last 2 months waiting in the shelter for someone to choose him… but somehow, no one has.

And that’s the hardest part... Watching puppies grow up in a shelter instead of in a home.

Benny is such a sweet boy and has done wonderfully with other dogs. He’s actually pretty calm for a puppy his age, which makes him such a gem. He’s past the tiny chaotic baby puppy stage, but still at the perfect age to learn, bond, and grow with his future family!

Benny deserves more than growing up behind kennel doors. He deserves a couch, a backyard, a family, and someone who finally says, “That’s my dog.”

We are obsessed with Lady! 😍😍

Seriously, this 3yrs old yellow Lab is the kind of dog that makes everyone fall in love within about 30 seconds of meeting her! She is sweet, cuddly, affectionate, and has just the right amount of playfulness about her!

One of our favorite things about her? She loves carrying around her favorite toys just to proudly show them off.

Lady has housetraining experience, does great with other dogs, has successfully lived with cats, and has done well with kids, too. She’s the kind of dog who fits herself right into your life and makes every day a little brighter.

Someone needs to come scoop up this dream dog!

The shelter will be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who served.
