We have a litter of unpedigreed New Zealands due on the 27th and a litter of pedigreed Rex due on the 28th. The litter of Rex will be held longer than usual to check for split p***s. This is a test litter. As long as there are none affected, they will be available after 12 weeks of age.
We have had other things going on in life and rabbits have been at the back of my mind. I may be slower to see and respond to messages. My dad has been in the hospital and is nearing the end of life so apologies if I don't answer quickly.

We have several rabbits for processing ONLY. These are culls and we will sell them for $10 each if you take all 8. We do not have time to process them. They are Rex. Must pick up here. Fryer size. Msg for information.

We have a broken chocolate Rex doe, 2 broken chocolate Rex bucks and a solid chocolate buck. $40 each. The solid and the one buck did not want to be posed. I can weigh them with a fish scale.

We believe in honesty and want to inform our past customers and future customers about an issue we just became aware of today.
We had sold a buck that was found to have a split p***s.
We check genders, check teeth for malocclusion, etc as they grow. Unfortunately split p***s doesn't usually show until they are a little older.
This buck was from our castor doe, Hey There Delilah and our homegrown Rocky Hill's Jesse James. There is a buck we had kept back who also has a split p***s and the other buck only had one testicle so both will be culled and we will be doing test breeding to try to rule out if the doe is the issue or the buck.
This is a topic that does not have a lot of known facts. Some say it's a development flaw in the womb, same say both parents have to carry for it to be seen. Nobody knows for sure.
But if we breed the doe to a different buck and we get even one buck with a split p***s, and we breed the buck to a different doe and don't get any affected, we're going to cull the doe.

Ugh this heat is really taking it out of me. Rabbits are miserable. All 3 fans are running nonstop, they get bowls refilled in the morning, checked around noon, then fed in the evening.
Nobody is eating much so going to pick grass tomorrow to get their appetite going.
Electrolytes go in the water bowls.
As hot as it is, you really should offer water in bowls in addition to their normal water bottles.
If they go too long without eating, they are at risk of GI stasis where things stop moving through the gut and they can die very quickly.
Water in bottles does not take long to heat up and hot water is not appealing on a hot day.
Piglets are doing fine. Chris P Bacon is not. Unsure what happened but looks like we may have to put him down. He's very reluctant to get up and when he does, he's very unsteady and squeals, sometimes falls down. He knuckles over on the right front and rear, very wobbly. Almost acts like he can't see.
Gladly welcome any advice from more experienced pig people.

Selling an older trio of white New Zealands for $60. Buck is 3, does are 4, still producing. Does are stained and don't look pretty but are good moms.

Still have a couple decent Rex available. Broken chocolate doe, chocolate buck, Castor buck. $40! Pedigreed.
Bred a couple does yesterday. The bucks might be heat sterile so we will see if we have kits in 30 days. Planning on breeding a couple more soon.
