Closing out Maddie’s second week of training with an outing at Cabelas. She is making great progress!

06/15/2026

Welcome Maddie! It is the end of Day 1 for Madeline and I would say the bonding phase of our training is going preeetty well. She’s a very sweet girl who pulls on walks, chases rabbits and jumps up on grandma. Stay tuned for her transformation 🐾❤️

✨I have 1 Board & Train spot available for July!

Update on B&T Percy:

Percy’s parents came to The Possible K9 for help to stop him from dashing through doors and taking himself on runs through the neighborhood. It is day 7, and look at his progress! He is learning to respect thresholds and wait until he is invited.

This is one of my favorite games to play with new B&T dogs, especially the ones with poor handler engagement. The concept behind it is, “See the thing you want over there? Pay attention to me and you can get it”.

How to play:

1. Hold something of high value to your dog, out away from your body.

2. Be patient! Don’t make sounds or movements to try and help the dog. Just wait, let them think. Let them learn to try. This is a good time to practice calmness within yourself, too.

3. When the dog looks at your face, mark it! “Yes” and reward the dog.

What is a marker? If you don’t know, stick around and follow to learn more!

One of the most common questions clients have about my board and train program is, “But if you take my dog and train it, how will I learn?”

I train people too! Clients are invited to join me on their dog’s outings for hands-on lessons, and I provide videos like this one 🐾❤️

Training is an investment in your dogs entire quality of life. Having a reliably trained dog means they are a pleasure to bring along!

Now booking for July. Call or message now to find out how I can help you start enjoying more time with your dog this summer ☀️🐾

If your dog struggles with leash pulling, overstimulation, reactivity, or simply needs help learning how to settle in busy places like Bear here, The Possible K9 can help. Stop leaving them at home, and start enjoying bringing them along.

I have 1 Board & Train spot available for June! Call or message to get started 🐾❤️

Stanlee and Lucas love coming along on private lessons, and they are paid well for their help! 🐾❤️

Welcome Puck! Puck is a 7 month old Terrier mix that is here for basic obedience. He has been learning marker words and food luring. Here is his first sit. He is a sensitive little guy with limited food drive so this took some patience, but there is a little obedience star in there!

Easy, no prep, no mess enrichment!

Sometimes I sprinkle the dogs breakfast in the grass and let them use their nose to find it. Sometimes I do this in my own yard when I have a busy schedule and want to make sure everyone gets something. Sometimes I use this for nervous dogs, and do it in new locations, like at a park. It’s easy, just sprinkle food into the grass and let them search!

*Obviously, avoid chemically treated grass and potty areas
