Class will be held Thursdays 6-7, Sept 12, 19, 26, Oct 3
Location: McDonough County 4H/Extension Center
Cost: $60 total for the four sessions

Bring your forms, proof of vaccinations and your dog to class on Sept 12.
Bring small treats, if your dog is treat motivated.

This dog was wandering around our neighborhood today, 5 miles east of Plymouth. Does anyone recognize it? It's a sweet, calm dog. I would love to find the owners, if they are looking for it. Any leads would be appreciated.

Nelli says therapy dog training is harder than you think. LOL We completed our evaluation today. We just need to send in our membership application to be official.

If you have any desire to do therapy work with your dog, give it a try! The dogs need to like people, let people pet them, be comfortable in a hospital setting and not show any aggression. The handlers need to follow the rules and be attentive to their dogs and the people they are visiting.

There is definitely a need for more therapy dogs, especially small ones. We did our training through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Let me know if you are interested!
