Even though dogs and cats make up the majority of my clients, I have to share that I’ve since taken on the role of fish sitter. Add it to the roster! Guinea pigs, spiders (never again I’m sorry 😭) chickens, lizards, snakes and bunnies. I do it all (except the spiders). 🕷️ 🦎

So one thing about me is I’m absolutely in love with antique hunting. I found this beautiful boy and purchased him for my parents’ anniversary. 100 year old little friend. Cast iron doorstop, molded and hand painted (yes, with lead) in the late 1920s. Look at those perfect seams 😭Unlike modern reproductions he’s a lightweight (lol) 6.5lbs ❤️ I so wish I knew if he ever had a name. Melts my heart to imagine him doing his job back in the depression era keeping those doors open. He’s officially relieved of his duties 🫡

This conservation has been on my radar for a long time now ❤️ The cheetah is already extinct in 25 countries where they once roamed free. The illegal trade industry and human interference has massively contributed to the decline in population. Running Wild operates with the intent to rehabilitate and release every animal they can and repatriate older or mistreated cheetahs from the “entertainment” industry. They operate as a sanctuary for orphaned and injured animals who cannot be released. They’ve been successful in “rewilding” many cheetahs who’ve ended up breeding in the wild and enjoying freedom to hunt and live without human interference. In addition to cheetahs, they rehab meerkats, antelope, warthogs and more.

This cause is very dear to me. Big Cats are truly stunning animals and this organization operates ethically unlike many others you may find.

There’s always the option to donate, volunteer, intern, etc. so if you ever feel like trekking to South Africa to help rehabilitate and learn from these beautiful Cheetahs, you know where to head. 🐆

The face of a dog who stole an adidas slider off my literal foot and played keep-away all over the yard until his (kind and patient) sitter accepted defeated and realized the slider was no longer worth pursuing. He’s laughing at me. Well played. Maverick: 1 Slider: 0

Miss Pippi had a very stressful day 😪 emergency vet, shots, and lots of medicine. Fortunately, she’s the only dog I’ve met who absolutely loves medicine. At least there’s that. Now tiny diva deserves to rest. Right in my lap where she belongs 💕
