Summer weather is here!!🌞 and so are the gnats 🙁

We have been receiving many calls about marks noticed on pets' abdomens. The typical presentation is a bullseye, skin colored in the middle with a bright red outer ring - usually flat, non-painful, but sometimes itchy. Gnats target areas with little to no hair, this picture is an example of what we are seeing!
As long as the pet isn't bothered by them and you aren't seeing any scabs, flaking, or pustules then they should subside on their own! If they are bothersome for any reason let us know. As always, feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns you may have!
