Competed this past weekend at the Iowa Taxidermy Association's annual show and competition with this walleye and bobcat. Both recieved blue ribbons in the Masters division and the walleye also won Best of Category, Show Challenge award, Polytranspar Award, Taxidermists Choice best fish award and State Champion. Very fortunate to be able to do this.

Want to let everyone know that I am selling Hunt raffle tickets to help out the Iowa Taxidermy Association. These tickets are $20/EA and we will only be selling 500 tickets. The hunt is for a Fallow deer ($3000 value) with the option to upgrade to Elk or buffalo at winners expense., which would end up being a pretty cheap elk or buffalo hunt. This preserve is here in Iowa and the hunt is good for 2026 or 2027. You can choose weapon degree of difficulty. Raffle drawing will be at our Show in March unless all the tickets are sold before that. IA residents require general hunting license. Non-resident require hunt preserve license. Contact me with any other questions. Hunts will generally be in the fall. Please share this with all your friends 😁

In between skinning deer and working on life-size mounts I was able to get this 44" Musky finished up.

Some recent life-size mounts finished up. The grey fox was a first for me. It was an Iowa grey fox too which you don't see very often. Good luck to all the first season shotgun hunters tomorrow. Now on to some fish and more life-size bobcats.

Just want to let everyone know about this breakfast put on by Pleasantville's American Legion Post 108. This coming Saturday 7am-10am at the Memorial Hall in Pleasantville, IA The address is 101 N. Jefferson St. Please come out for a great breakfast for a good cause. We use proceeds to help us fund gift cards for families in need, scholarships for high school students for their college expenses, and other things to help out the community. Hope to see you there!

4 more nice Iowa deer picked up this morning. These were the last ones to finish from last season. Now to get some bobcats, Fox, otter and raccoon done as well as a pile of fish mounts, of course in between skinning out this year's deer.
