🚨 New sign up alert! 🚨This cutie is Bean, a 7 mo old Doxie who signed up for a 3 week board and train program to help with barking in the apartment (separation anxiety), demand barking when moms home, potty training, and overall general obedience! He is as friendly as a dog gets and we are excited to begin our work with him. Let’s give Bean a warm welcome to the DZK9 family!

On a side note, going forward I will be publicly thanking anyone that refers a client to me as my business has run on referrals since day 1! In 2 years I’ve only put in $50 in advertising just to see what it would do. Everyone that has referred a client to me knows I typically take care of ya’ll behind the scenes with free boarding nights, group class, private lessons, etc. and any other way I can give back. You know who you are, and I couldn’t have made it as far as I have without you guys! So thank you to everyone that has kindly referred me and has taken to time to tag me in certain groups when people ask for reputable dog trainers! It does not go unnoticed. ❤️❤️❤️

🚨New signup alert! 🚨This here is Tango! Tango is coming to us after making life difficult for multiple dog sitters and groomers. He tends to only want to be around mom and dad and dislikes when they leave. So much so, that he will start to nip at whoever has the leash to try and get back to the parents.

Tango is going to complete a 4 week board and train program with goals to be able to peacefully drop him off at the groomers and/or vet office when necessary along with his general obedience training! If your dog struggles with something similar, reach out and we’ll be happy to help! Let’s give Tango a warm welcome to the DZK9 family!

A lot of incredible dogs in this pic!🥹😊 Exposure training is never ending. If you start early, it’ll be much easier. However, dogs of any age can overcome reactivity with proper mental and physical stimulation. Don’t forgot about strong leadership! Your dog needs you to be their leader first!

Whew. I may need to hire a social media person to keep up with the socials. Lol Posting what has been keeping us busy these last few months, so this may be a lengthy post! I have a few that I don’t have grad pics from but I’ll post their doggos anyway!

Wednesday-Black Lab/ 3 WEEK board and train! Got obedience up to par to get her ready for retrieving school!

Colt-Australian Shepherd/ 4 WEEK board and train! Came to school to learn some better manners and to stop chasing the cows on her 25+ acre ranch.

Winnie and Brady-3&4 WEEK Board and trains-They were adopted siblings that were returned to the shelter frequently. A loving couple brought them to us to have better manners around the house and to stop chasing/killing deer passing through their back yard!

Dakota-Great Dane-3 WEEK board and train. Came to work on general obedience and dog reactivity.

Baxter-Pit mix-3 WEEK board and train. Previous raffle winner/private lesson client. Needed help with dog reactivity and lunging in public.

Penny-Corgi-4 WEEK board and train. Had previously killed another small dog sibling in the home. They have another blind small dog in the home that they wanted to make sure the same thing didn’t happen to.

Lucy-Pom-2 WEEK board and train. Exclusively working on potty training.

Bowen, Luna, & Jack-All 3 WEEK board and trains. They needed a more cohesive household as they had previously started getting in fights. They’d been ok for most of their lives together until recently.

Hemi-5 WEEK board and train from out of town! They drove about 2 hours to bring their precious baby to us and we worked on impulse control, general obedience, and crate anxiety.

Daisy-Aussie/GSD x-4 WEEK board and train. Impulse control around kids/distractions in public, and general obedience!

Louie-Wired terrier-3 WEEK board and train. Crate anxiety and reactivity to any distraction in public.

These two litter mates are Tippy and Cocoa! The sisters were recommended to me from a current client and spent 6 weeks in an immersive board and train program to overcome several issues in the household ranging from barking uncontrollably through the fence/front window to, a huge fight in the home. The normal things like confidence and general obedience are things that go into their training as well!

I’m currently working with their owners in follow up private lessons to teach the proper leadership skills to maintain the success they are already seeing in the home. They only need one more private lesson before graduating to group classes! Let’s give them a warm welcome to the DZK9 family!

Behind on my sign up alerts because these doggos kept me super busy! Tommy and Mirella trusted DogZilla K9 Academy to do board and training for all 3 of their dogs for 3 weeks each. All 3 dogs were brought to me for fighting in the home and to help with overall general obedience as they had high anxiety and needed to learn how to coexist with each other! They’ve been home for about a week and the update is that they’re doing well! They’re both becoming more confident being leaders and advocating for their dogs situationally and I look forward to our future lessons! Let’s give them a warm welcome to the DZK9 Family and congratulations on the completion of their board and training! The dog’s names are in order of the picture: Whitney, Chaka, and Chiki!

A little midnight December post. Our lucky girl Bunny, has recently become a big sister-of a brand new HUMAN baby. Lol 👶 When I say “welcome to the DZK9 family”, I mean it! We are taking care of Bunny free of charge so that their parents can become adjusted to life with their brand new baby and get a sleep routine going. 🙂 Parents, we all know how that goes! Lol a huge congrats to their family and we are excited to welcome Claire to the DZK9 family! 😊
