Hi everyone,

Just a reminder, we will be closed today for a mandatory staff meeting from 12:00pm-2:30pm.

⚔️🐾 One Practice Software to Rule Them All... 🐾⚔️

After many months of planning, coffee, spreadsheets, and what feels like preparing to take the One Ring to Mordor... we're finally ready.

WildThings Animal Hospital goes LIVE with our new practice management software on Monday, August 10! 🎉

If you've ever watched The Lord of the Rings, that's about how we're imagining this journey. There may be a few orcs (computer glitches), a Balrog or two (technology doing technology things), and at least one of us will probably ask, "Why didn't the eagles just take us?" 😂

But just like Frodo, Sam, and the Fellowship, we'll get there—and the destination will be worth it!

🧙 To prepare for our adventure, we'll be in mandatory staff training:
📅 Thursday, July 30 | 12:00–2:30 PM
📅 Tuesday, August 4 | 12:00–2:30 PM

During these times, our response times may be a little slower while we level up our skills.

📧 The weekend before we go live, you'll receive an email asking you to opt back in to text messaging. Unfortunately, our old system can't pass that information along, so if you'd like to continue receiving appointment reminders and updates by text, you'll just need to opt in one more time.

🐾 What to expect the week of August 10:
• Monday & Tuesday: We'll have a lighter appointment schedule while we get our bearings in the new system.
• Wednesday: Our goal is to be back to our normal schedule and cruising right along!

We truly appreciate your patience as we take this adventure together. There may be a few bumps in the road, but we're confident this new system will help us provide even better care and communication for you and your pets.

Now... if you'll excuse us...

"I can't carry the software, but I can carry the clinic!" 😅

Thanks for sticking with us—we promise the journey will be worth it! 💙🐾

Yesterday’s meeting was powered by coffee, flatbreads, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting. ☕🍕😂

Thanks so much to Street Coffee Bar for letting us use your meeting room! It was the perfect place to escape the clinic for lunch, make a game plan for our NectarVet transition, and enjoy some seriously amazing food.

And those new flatbreads… chef’s kiss! 👌 We’ll definitely be back!

🐾 Congratulations to Our Amazing Future Veterinary Professionals! 🎉🎓

We are beyond proud to celebrate these incredible young women! After graduating from high school this year, they chose to spend part of their summer continuing their education—and every one of them earned their Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) certification! 👏🐾

Their hard work, dedication, and passion for animal care have truly paid off. Watching them grow in knowledge, confidence, and skill has been such a privilege, and we know this is only the beginning of their journey.

As they head off to college to pursue their dreams, we have no doubt they will accomplish amazing things. The future of veterinary medicine is bright, and we can’t wait to see where life takes each of them.

At Wild Things Animal Hospital, we believe in investing in the next generation of veterinary professionals. These students have shown they have the compassion, determination, and work ethic to make a real difference in the lives of animals and the families who love them.

Congratulations, ladies! Thank you for your dedication, your compassion, and for inspiring us along the way. We wish you nothing but success in this next chapter. Once a Wild Things student, always part of the Wild Things family! ❤️🐾

It is bittersweet knowing this was the final year of our local high school’s veterinary program. We are hopeful that one day the program will return so future students can experience the same incredible opportunity to discover their passion for veterinary medicine.

Please help us congratulate these outstanding young women and wish them the very best as they begin this exciting new adventure!

📞 Our Phones Are Playing Hide-and-Seek! 🙈☎️

If you've been trying to call us today, you're not imagining things—our phones have decided to take a few unscheduled breaks. We're aware of the issue and are working with our provider to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

If you can't get through, please give it another try in a few minutes.

📧 In the meantime, feel free to email us at [email protected], and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we wrangle these mischievous phone gremlins!

Well... apparently Colorado called, and one of our favorite humans actually answered. 🏔️💚 We tried everything we could think of to convince her to stay, but apparently "unlimited puppy kisses" couldn't compete with mountains.

While we're incredibly sad to see our amazing surgery technician begin her next adventure, we couldn't be more excited for her. She has been such an important part of the Wild Things family, and Colorado is gaining one phenomenal technician. We know she's going to do amazing things!

Now comes the hard part... finding someone to fill those shoes.

🐾 Wild Things Animal Hospital is hiring an EXPERIENCED Veterinary Surgery Technician/Assistant!

We're looking for someone with at least one year of veterinary clinic experience, with confidence in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, patient care, and working as part of an exceptional team. If you love practicing high-quality medicine, enjoy a fun, supportive workplace, and want to work with dogs, cats, and even exotics, we'd love to meet you!

🎆 The Fourth of July is here! 🎆

Just a quick reminder about our holiday hours:

🐾 We’ll be OPEN tomorrow (7-3-2026)because we know many businesses are observing the holiday and will be closed. If you need medications, food, or anything else for your pet, we’re here to help!

🐾 We’ll be CLOSED (7-6-2026)on Monday as our team takes their holiday and enjoys some well-deserved time with their families.

As you’re celebrating this weekend, don’t forget that some of our favorite holiday treats can be dangerous for our pets. Please keep corn cobs, cooked bones, onions, grapes, raisins, chocolate, alcohol, xylitol-containing foods, and fatty table scraps out of reach. And remember—fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be very stressful for our furry family members. Keeping pets indoors in a quiet, secure area can help keep them safe.

If your pet experiences an emergency while we’re closed, please contact one of our local emergency hospitals:

🐾 Little Angels Veterinary Emergency Hospital – Clarksville
🐾 BluePearl Pet Hospital – Nashville
🐾 Clarksville Emergency Veterinary Clinic – Clarksville

From all of us at Wild Things Animal Hospital, we hope you have a safe, happy, and memorable Fourth of July weekend. Enjoy the celebrations, make lots of memories, and give your pets an extra cuddle from us! ❤️🤍💙

I finally made it to Chic & Seasoned Boutique (Across from the PV Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department) and I have one question… how is it possible to fit this much awesome into one place?!

Every corner you turn is another surprise. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you find another room filled with even more amazing local vendors and handmade treasures.

Need a last-minute birthday gift? They’ve got you. Need flowers? They’ve got those too. Looking for homegrown goodies, local coffee, chocolates, home décor, candles, hats, gifts, or something unique you won’t find anywhere else? Yep… it’s all there.

The best part is that every purchase supports local businesses, and you can tell so much heart has gone into every display. It’s one of those places where you can wander, take your time, and keep saying, “Wait… did you see this?!” every five minutes.

It’s places like this that remind you why shopping local matters. So many talented people, so much creativity, and all under one roof. Go check it out—you won’t be disappointed!

🎆 Fireworks Are Coming... Is Your Pet Ready? 🐶🐱

The Fourth of July is one of the busiest and most stressful times of the year for our furry family members. If your pet has a history of anxiety during fireworks, please don't wait until the last minute to request calming medications.

Appointments fill quickly, and some pets may need an exam before medications like trazodone, gabapentin, or other anti-anxiety medications can be prescribed. Waiting until July 3rd may mean we are unable to accommodate your request in time.

🐾 If your pet:
❤️ Shakes or trembles
❤️ Hides during fireworks
❤️ Pants excessively
❤️ Tries to escape
❤️ Becomes destructive or vocalizes

Now is the time to make a plan!

Here are a few ways to help keep your pet safe:
🎇 Keep pets indoors before fireworks begin.
🎇 Create a quiet, comfortable "safe space."
🎇 Play calming music or white noise to help mask the sounds.
🎇 Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with a current ID tag.
🎇 If your pet is not microchipped, now is a great time to have one placed. Every year, pets frightened by fireworks escape their homes or yards, and a microchip greatly increases the chances of a happy reunion if they become lost.

Give us a call today if you think your pet may need a little extra help this Fourth of July. Planning ahead can make all the difference and help ensure your pet has a safe, stress-free holiday. ❤️🐾
