Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital At Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital, we love animals and consider them family members.

Hillcrest opened its doors in 1976, and Dr. Zachary Anderson purchased the practice in 2015. Since the beginning, our team of doctors and technicians has provided individualized care to each patient. Like you, the staff at Hillcrest loves animals and considers them members of the family. We support our animal patients by providing full service veterinary care using up-to-date diagnostics, surgical methods, and pharmaceuticals. We offer various services, including general dentistry, radiology, and preventative healthcare.

If you suspect your pet has been exposed to or ingested something harmful, act quickly but don’t induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional tells you to.

Before calling, have the product label or a clear photo ready, along with your pet’s weight and the approximate time of exposure or ingestion. These details can help your veterinarian determine the safest next steps.

When in doubt, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison service right away. 🐾

Cooler weather doesn't mean fleas, ticks, and heartworm are gone! As the seasons change, many pets are still at risk, making year-round prevention just as important in the fall as it is in the summer. Staying on schedule with flea, tick, and heartworm prevention helps keep your pet protected no matter the season. Have questions? We're happy to help! ❤️🐾 https://hillcrestvet.com/contact/

💙 Ask any of our veterinarians, and you will hear the same thing. The care a patient receives depends just as much on the technician standing beside them.

Help us celebrate the people who make quality veterinary care possible this week. 🎉 🐾

Senior cats may slow down, but subtle changes can tell us a lot about their health. 🐱💙 As cats age, wellness exams may include kidney and thyroid screening, monitoring for often-overlooked signs of arthritis, and tracking weight changes. Regular senior exams can help uncover concerns early and guide care as their needs change. Schedule your senior cat’s wellness exam today! https://hillcrestvet.com/contact/

🍂 Fall views are better from a safe window.

Even indoor-only cats can leap, climb, or push against a screen when something outside catches their attention, and standard insect screens aren’t always strong enough to hold them.

Help keep your cat safely inside:

🐾 Use securely fitted, pet-resistant screens or window guards

🐾 Check screens regularly for tears, loose frames, and gaps

🐾 Limit how far unscreened windows can open

🐾 Take extra precautions in apartments and high-rise homes

A secure window lets your cat enjoy the view and gives you greater peace of mind. 🐈
