Finally got short stuff Tilly’s photos thanks to Foster Forest & adding her to our adoptable dogs list! 😍🐾💜🥰

Tilly was surrendered as a beagle, but it’s pretty obvious she is a short stocky mix of a beagle (maybe Jack Russell?). While we don’t know her exact breed mix, we do know she is one sweet, cuddly and adorable dog who would make almost any family a very lucky one.

Tilly is 2 yrs old, great with all people including the little ones. She is housetrained, she is crate trained but doesn’t love being in a crate as she spent most her pre-HERO life crated (10-12 hrs a day 🥺).

Tilly is ready for her forever home, but right now she is being fostered in East TN. She is big and small dog friendly, doesn’t seem to care about the cats in her foster home. She is also leash trained and rides well in a car…honestly she is just happy to be with her people regardless of where that takes her.

Little Miss Rosie is ready for her forever home where she hopes to be a 24/7 lap dog with lots of cuddles, kisses and treats 😍🐾💜

Rosie is a petite beagle at 21lbs, 4 yrs old and is moderately energetic. She enjoys having a friendly beagle playmate to keep her company but mostly just wants her foster moms attention as much as she can get it!

Rosie does have separation anxiety so apartment living won’t be a good fit (unless you neighbors like beagle howls of abandonment 🙈). Rosie is also not a match for cats, they turn on her beagle prey drive.

Rosie originally came to HERO after she reportedly bit someone coming on her property while her people were away, but has shown zero aggression to her foster mom or any guests to her house. She even avoided a dog fight that broke out at the foster home with grace.

Rosie is fully vetted, house trained, does okay in a crate (minus the separation anxiety cries 🥺). She is great with dogs of all sizes and would probably thrive with a dog companion or people that are home most of the time.

The human child of the HERO Hound House, Brock, turns 5 today! 🤯🐾👦🎉🥰

In 2020, we were not sure we could have a small human so we started HERO to save fur babies. A few months later, our prayers were answered!

So many people said we would quit after Brock came into our lives, but he makes rescue so much better (or maybe just more interesting 🤔). He is caring and patient with the pups while also testing them to the max with his antics and tantrums.

It’s been a wild 5 yrs, but every moment with him is a blessing for all the HERO family! 🥰

This sweet GORGEOUS Bluetick girl is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home while she heals from heartworms. 🙏🐾💜

Like so many hounds in West TN, Annie Oakley here found herself in a small rural shelter, but luckily one that cares! She is about 3-4 yrs old, heartworm positive (treatment provided), 40-50lbs and ready to be the apple of someone’s eye.

After nearly a year, we decided to redo Auggie’s glamour shots to try and capture it lovable and sweet personality! 😍🐾💙

Auggie is a gentle boy around 40lbs & 1 yr old who is patient, kind, a little nervous around new people and things, but in a submissive unsure way. He is used to living with other dogs and tends to follow their lead.

What you don’t see in the photos is his foster mom’s 6 yr old grandbaby walking Auggie on his leash, petting him and showing him around the park while he follows patiently.

Auggie just wants a family to love on him as much as he will love them.
