Mom took me kayaking. I hated it, but I can't stand it when she leaves me at home, so I whined for 7 miles until we got back to the car.

I rate this activity 0/10. I had to drink river water; I swam, and I hate swimming. Mom made me ride in the kayak with hooman #2, and when I got home, she bathed me.

Hey, friends! Eepa here!

Summer is flying by, and I don’t want you to think my moms have me cooped up at home.

Last week, Mom and I chased my second favorite mom across Iowa in the Winnebago. We started in Onawa and ended in Dubuque.

I had a very important job:
Stay cool.
Bark at everyone.
And make sure Erin got a proper morning greeting every time she came into the camper to grab her stuff.

We met lots of people and dogs. Some of the dogs even got to ride RAGBRAI with their hoomans. Not me, though. I’m an air-conditioning kind of dog, and I’m perfectly okay with that.

It was a great week, and my second favorite mom did an amazing job riding across Iowa. I was very proud of her.

I’m not sure where our next adventure will take us, but I hope you’re all soaking up every bit of summer.

These toasty summer days have nothing on our Fourth of July spirit! 🇺🇸

As you celebrate, remember: fireworks are fun for humans, but not always for pets.

Help keep your furry friends calm and comfortable by giving them a cozy space, closing the blinds, and leaving the TV or music on to soften the noise. If your pet needs extra support, consider a calming treat or CBD option that’s safe for them.

A lot of people know me as the girl who loves dogs, but I also spend my days working with some pretty incredible accounting clients. One of them is Mitch with McNett Pet Cremation and it has honestly made me appreciate even more how important our pets are to us.

If you’ve ever loved an animal, you understand it. They’re not “just pets.” They’re family. They’re the ones waiting at the door, laying next to us on hard days, following us from room to room, and loving us without conditions every single day.

I wish they lived forever. I think most pet people do.

Working with people in the pet industry reminds me how meaningful it is to honor our animals after they’re gone. Pet cremation gives families a way to keep their best friend close and celebrate the life and love they shared together. There’s something comforting about knowing they’re still home with you in some way.

So hug your pets a little tighter tonight. Take the extra walk. Throw the ball again. Let them cuddle too close. Someday we’d give anything for one more tail wag, one more bark, one more goofy little moment. ❤️

Three years ago Sarah walked away from the accounting firm she was working for, hit the Ice Age Trail for a week to clear her head, and came home ready for something different.

That’s when Pup Dog started.

I made the page, Sarah started building her little furry client list, and before long she was scratching booties, giving boops and kisses, and loving every single animal like they were her own.

If you know Sarah, you know this isn’t just easy cash to her. She genuinely loves these animals and cares deeply about the people attached to them too. Ask any of her hoomans or pups and they’ll tell you the same thing.

Watching her build this business from the ground up and become such an important part of so many families’ lives has been pretty incredible.

Happy 3 years of Pup Dog, Sarah. I’m really proud of you. ❤️
