April showers bring Calf, Lamb, and Kid scours….. Early treatment can prevent serious problems!

Ensure newborns receive adequate colostrum within the first few hours of life.

Weather extremes, even nice warm temps, can weaken them. Make sure they are up and nursing to avoid hypoglycemia and sick babies.

We have advanced treatments for sick calves/lambs/kids. Call or stop in for ERVC’s protocols.

Diaque is ERVC’s electrolyte of choice for scouring calves/lambs/kids. Some electrolytes are not effective for treating scours. Blue Ribbon electrolytes are NOT for scours.
If animals are weak, not nursing, or not improving, they need IV fluids and veterinary care immediately.

**UPDATE - Sam has found his new fur-ever home!** 🥰

Say hi to Sam! Sam is looking for his new forever home. He is a 3 year old lab who is a little goofy but loves to play and is very friendly to everyone he meets. He is up to date on his shots and neutered. Call East River Vet, 605-337-2168, to bring this lovable guy home!

**UPDATE** Blaze has found her forever home!
This is Blaze. She is a 10 week old kitten that is ready to find her new home. She is up to date on her shots so far, she will need a couple more in a few weeks. Blaze has really come out of her shell and loves when you pet her. We think she would do well in a home with other cats to play with.
