Thankful for the dry week we’ve had , last week was hard to get quality horse training time in with the storms. Quick update on a few …Quincy is doing well, taking all the groundwork and destroying pretty good. Renegade is getting a ton of groundwork as well, still working through his quirks. Lastly Cheech is riding well.

It’s been a good week for these three in training with us. More detailed updates and videos for each horse coming soon.

Renegade is doing ok but still needs continued improvement on some of the basics. He’s been reactive to our obstacles (video on that coming soon), and needs more time working through things like ground driving seen here in this video . Overall he’s showing signs of progress, he’s very gentle and wants to learn.

The work continues with Quincy. He is doing ok, just needs a lot of desensitizing. Working through all the basic groundwork to build a strong foundation.

Swinging a rope off Cheech for the first time. She’s doing well, very gentle and willing to learn. Still it’s always best to introduce something new slowly so the horse has the best first experience possible.

A rainy morning calls for a desensitizing stall session with Quincy. Plastic bags have been one of several items that spook him so this is a big step in the right direction for him.
