Dear Paws & Claws Family,

I have truly cherished the privilege of working with all of you over the past four years. During this time, I’ve built meaningful connections with so many of you, and I will deeply miss seeing both you and your beloved pets. 💕

Although this chapter is coming to an end sooner than I had hoped, I wouldn’t change a thing about the experiences and relationships we’ve shared. I am incredibly grateful for the memories we’ve made together and wish each of you nothing but the absolute best moving forward.

I will be working as a Client Service Representative at Allen Family Vet if you ever need to reach me.

Credit Due: We are actively working on processing these. In the meantime, we highly encourage you to book an appointment to use any services currently available on your plan before our final day.

Plan Cancelled: Your plan has been closed out, and no further monthly payments will be drafted.

Dear Valued Clients,

It is with a heavy heart that we share an important update regarding Paws & Claws Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Center. After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors March 6. This was not an easy choice, and it comes with deep gratitude for the trust you have placed in us over the years. It has truly been an honor to care for your pets and to be part of so many meaningful moments in their lives.

We also want to share that Dr. Messonnier will be retiring after 35 years of dedicated service at Paws & Claws. His compassion, commitment, and love for this community and its pets have left an incredible legacy, and we are deeply thankful for all he has given over the years.

Please note that Dr. Messonnier will be out of the office from February 9 through February 16. Our team will continue to support clients during this transition period and will do everything we can to help ensure continuity of care for your pets. If you need a copy of your pet’s medical records after March 6, please email
[email protected]. Requests will be handled as quickly as possible. Bailie will be assisting with sending records from a nearby practice to ensure you receive what you need in a timely manner.

We are incredibly thankful for the relationships we have built and for the opportunity to serve this community. Your kindness, loyalty, and support have meant more to us than words can express.

We will be closed Wednesday, January 28th. Our 2 scheduled appointments have cancelled. Out Dr. Shawn drives from north of McKinney. We will wait one more day for the roads to improve. We will have our regular business hours on Thursday.

Quick heads up that Dr. Shawn will be out of the office from Monday, January 19th through Wednesday, January 21st.

We are pleased to have a relief veterinarian, Dr. Duncan, available for appointments on that Monday and Wednesday during his absence. Her exam fee is $65.

If Dr. Duncan completes any lab work during your visit, Dr. Shawn is offering a follow-up consultation for $45 upon his return to discuss the results with you.

Please note that we will not have a doctor in the office on Tuesday the 20th. If your pet has an emergency that day, please visit your nearest UrgentVet or Animal Emergency Hospital.
