Four out of Five of my Widow spider ladies & their set ups. They seem to really be enjoying the enclosures, decorations and branches. Widows are true spiders, and although they do have medically significant venom only mature females are capable of biting and delivering this venom; males and immature females are too small to break human skin. A widows first instinct is not to bite but to run, you are not going to die from a bite like we have been made out to believe, children, elderly & immunocompromised individuals are at higher risk for issues from a Widow bite, that’s not to downplay their possible danger and caution should always be taken. I do not hold any of my tarantulas or venomous spiders! Anyways I do enjoy having them in my family 🖤 I’m hoping to be able to join in offering these as captive bred instead of wild caught in the near future
