Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) is one of the most respected centers for specialized veterinary care. Giving Back to Our Community, at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, caring for animals goes beyond our hospital. We are happy that our LIVS team came together to collect and donate pet food to the Pet Pantry, helping local families keep their pets fed and cared for. When families face food insecurity, providing for their pets can become a challenge. No one should have to worry about how they will feed their pet.
THANK YOU to all our LIVS team members who contributed to this wonderful cause! Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to make a difference are what make our team so special.

Please join us in welcoming Kristin Smith to the LIVS team!
Kristin is our new Referral Relations Manager. She brings years of experience in the veterinary and pharmaceutical field, along with a passion for building meaningful relationships and connecting people. We are happy to have her representing LIVS and bringing her experience, energy, and enthusiasm to our referral community. In her new role, Kristin will be focused on strengthening the relationship between LIVS and our referring veterinary community through open communication, shared goals, and, most importantly, a commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients. She will also be exploring opportunities for education, collaboration, and new ways for LIVS to support and connect with our referral partners. We are so excited to have Kristin on board.

Not only does Jackie have human twins… she also has these two beautiful Cavapoos, Cooper & Daisy!
Meet this dynamic duo! Cooper and Daisy are truly two peas in a pod and are rarely seen without each other. Whether they’re cuddling, playing, following each other around, or simply keeping one another company, these two are the definition of best friends for life!

We’re excited to officially welcome our newest team member, Dr. Rachel Mandelbaum, Anesthesiologist, to the Long Island Veterinary Specialists family!
Dr. Mandelbaum will be joining our team beginning Monday, September 21st, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on board!
The addition of dedicated anesthesia expertise is an important step forward for LIVS and, most importantly, for the patients and families we care for every day. Her specialized knowledge will support our surgical and specialty teams in providing individualized anesthetic care, careful monitoring, and an added level of safety throughout procedures.
Having this expertise as part of our team allows us to provide the highest level of coordinated care for our patients.
