Déja’s 1st signs of active learning and first session after a week off for being a bit under the weather 🤧 and getting on antibiotics from the vet. I’m pretty impressed w/ him showing memory recall from the week prior where he only had 2 shaping & luring sessions. It’s cool seeing his brain 🧠 fire off and decide to offer this behavior. -Melissa

This weekend was nothing short of a great experience! K9 Law & Order put on a fantastic seminar! I am truly honored to have been a part of this event. For the shear number of people that attended, the weekend ran quite smoothly. The food was great as well! I want to send Chris Tucker a huge thank you for inviting me out this year. I met and conversed with great handlers, instructors, and decoys that traveled from as far as Europe to be a part of this event. I had a great roommate, ! I truly hope to be a part of many more in the years to come! Thanks for having me! Was truly a pleasure!

Isaiah Chestnut

My name is Isaiah Chestnut, and I own a small business named Ekon Kennels and K9 Training. Our small breeding program focuses on raising pups to serve our armed forces and LE agencies. My journey began when I was just 9 years old, after meeting a great man willing to teach me about dogs and breeding. I couldn't wait to get home from school each day to help clean kennels and listen to his knowledge.

Fast-forward to my mid-20s: I acquired my first GSD and joined a Schutzhund club. I was immediately hooked on my first visit when I had the chance to wear a bite sleeve. My mentor took me under his wing and shared his expertise, helping me understand obedience training and decoying.

It was through this club experience that I was also introduced to police dogs and Belgian Malinois. After a couple of years, I purchased my first Malinois, named JJ, and we successfully competed in a sport called French Ring. Following our victory at a regional championship, a friend approached me with an opportunity to build dogs for government contracts, which led me to where I am today.
