🐾💕 Happy National Hug Your Cat Day! 💕🐾

Today is the purr-fect excuse to give your feline friend an extra cuddle (if they approve, of course 😸). Whether your cat is a professional lap warmer, a biscuit maker, or a master of the 3 a.m. zoomies, they make our lives brighter every day.

Take a moment to celebrate the whiskers, head boops, and unconditional love that make cats so special. Share a hug, a treat, or a sunny spot by the window—and don't forget to snap a photo of your favorite furry family member!

Last week, our team had the honor of attending the awards night hosted by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce! 🐾✨

We were incredibly grateful to be nominated for Small Business of the Year. While The Welcome Waggin' didn’t take home the award, it was such a meaningful evening spent celebrating the hardworking local businesses and organizations that make this community so special.

This Memorial Day, we paws to remember the courageous heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Their bravery gave us the freedom to enjoy life’s simplest and most meaningful moments — quiet mornings, backyard gatherings, laughter with loved ones, and time spent with the pets who make our houses feel like home. 🐾

At The Welcome Waggin', we are deeply grateful for those who served and for the families who continue to carry their memory in their hearts.

Today, we honor them with gratitude, remembrance, and respect. ❤️

Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone — Heather’s 6 Year Anniversary with The Welcome Waggin! 🐾

For the past six years, Heather has been such an important part of our team, bringing compassion, dedication, laughter, and so much heart to everything she does. We truly could not imagine The Welcome Waggin without her.

If you know Heather, you know she absolutely loves to run — so to celebrate her anniversary, our team made a special pledge: we’ll be running a 5K of Heather’s choice together as a team! 🏃‍♀️✨

And of course, her new kitten Lando had to be included in the celebration 🐱💚 He officially “signed” Heather’s certificate with his tiny paw print… though he may have spent the rest of the day questioning why one of his feet suddenly turned bright green. We’d like to formally apologize to Lando for the temporary loss of dignity.

Thank you, Heather, for six amazing years of caring for pets, supporting our team, and making every day brighter. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Welcome Waggin family.

We feel so lucky to have Dr. Christina Mozdzierz as part of The Welcome Waggin' family! 🐾❤️

From preventative care and pain management to helping nervous kitties feel comfortable, Dr. Mozdzierz brings so much compassion, knowledge, and kindness to every patient and family she meets. Her passion for the human-animal bond shines through in everything she does, and our clients know they’re in caring hands the moment they meet her.

Outside of the clinic, she’s a Disney lover, Harry Potter fan, movie-night expert, and proud cat mom to Duma, who she lovingly saved after he was surrendered due to a life-threatening urinary obstruction!

Thank you, Dr. Mozdzierz, for the incredible care you provide our patients every day and for being such an important part of our team these last two years. We adore you and cannot wait for many more years ahead! 💕

✨ Our FIRST surgery patient!! ✨
The dream is officially becoming a reality.

A huge thank you to our Medical Director and surgeon Dr. Juli Rowlett and her sweet girl Penny 💕 Penny is 15 years young and needed a dental procedure—and she did AMAZING under anesthesia!

This milestone day wouldn’t have been possible without an incredible team effort. Our housecall team crushed it on the road, and our CVT team absolutely rocked walking through our brand-new surgical protocols with confidence and care.

Never let age be a disease.
Today was proof of what’s possible when experience, preparation, and heart come together. 🐾
