Walter is already crushing the off leash portion of his training! 🐾🔥

He is getting SO close to our end goals and is doing some seriously amazing things along the way! Building a strong foundation is key to success, and all of those skills are starting to come together. The more consistent we are, the more confidence and freedom Walter can earn! 🙌🐶

Walter is continuing to put in the work! 💪🐶

Today, we’re taking his tone avoidance training outside and adding even more freedom into the mix with some off leash work! We’re also teaching Walter to stay on the left-hand side and maintain that position while working through distractions and new environments.

He may get a little confused here and there, but that’s all part of the learning process! Consistency is key 🔑 With clear communication, repetition, and practice, Walter is learning exactly what is expected of him and building the skills to enjoy more freedom! 🐕✨

One step at a time, one lesson at a time, and this good boy is making progress! 👏

Walter is learning all about tone avoidance today! 🔊🐾

During our walks, we’re using stimulation and distractions to help limit unnecessary stops, pulling, and exploring. The goal is to build better focus, listening, communication, manners, and overall behavior! 🙌

Instead of constantly relying on verbal cues, Walter is learning how to understand and respond to tone markers through his e-collar. And this smart guy only needed a few moments before he started putting the pieces together! 🧠🐶

Clear communication creates better understanding, and better understanding can lead to more freedom for you and your dog! That means more adventures, more confidence, and more enjoyable walks together! 🐕❤️

Way to learn quickly, Walter! We can’t wait to keep building on this foundation! 🔥🐾

A walk with friends is always better when it doubles as a training session! 🐾🐾🐾

Winston got to head out with Kyle, our trainer Sam, and two of Sam’s Board & Train pups, Stella and Scout! This outing was all about working together, practicing around distractions, seeing how Scout does around other dogs, helping Stella continue building that puppy foundation, and giving Winston some much needed field trip and distraction work!

Scout absolutely crushed it around the other dogs and showed that he has no issues walking alongside them! 🙌 One thing we are continuing to work on is his high energy and excitement around people, other dogs, and walks. Excitement is totally normal, but we do not want that excitement turning into pulling, jumping, or forgetting those manners! A little tone and e-collar work helped us reinforce those expectations and keep those leash manners looking good! 💪

Winston also got the chance to put those listening skills to the test! New environments, new distractions, other dogs, and plenty going on around him are all opportunities to learn. He is quickly picking up the pieces and continuing to make awesome progress! 🧠🐕

And Stella got to keep building on that puppy foundation while learning how to exist, listen, and practice good behaviors around other dogs! Starting them young and giving them the tools they need makes a huge difference! 🐶✨

Butters is putting in the WORK during his first couple of days with us! 🐾🔥

This guy already came in with a great foundation, but now it’s time to really nail down those skills and build even more clarity and consistency! We’re working on place, e-collar communication, manners, listening skills, and making sure Butters understands exactly what is being asked of him.

One big focus? Leash manners! 🦮

We want walks to be enjoyable for BOTH the dog and the handler. No unnecessary stops, no dragging ahead, and no pulling! Through clear communication and tone avoidance, Butters is learning how to make the right choice and keep moving right alongside his handler. A quick teaching moment, and Butters avoided the tone like a pro! 👏

Solid communication. Clear expectations. A great foundation to build from. 💪🐶

This guy came in with an AMAZING foundation already, and that makes us super confident that we can work toward helping him overcome that reactivity! 💪🐶

One of the biggest wins? Butters isn’t just listening to one person. He’s showing us that he can be handled by multiple people and listen to different trainers while still understanding what’s expected of him. 👏

Just LOOK at this guy’s skills! 🤩 His foundation is setting him up for success, and we can’t wait to see how much progress he makes over the next few weeks!

This handsome guy is here for a 3 week Board & Train and we are ready to get to work! 🐶🔥

Butters’ primary focus during his stay will be reactivity to other dogs. We’ll be working on helping him stay calm, focused, and confident around his biggest distractions while building better communication and reliable obedience along the way.

Real world training, real distractions, and lots of opportunities to learn! 💪🐾

We’re excited to have Butters with us and can’t wait to watch his confidence grow throughout these next three weeks! 💙

🐾 Walter’s FIRST DAY! 🐾

First days are all about taking it slow, building trust, getting to know a new handler, learning a new environment, and setting up a strong foundation for everything to come! 💙

Walter’s foundation is already PHENOMENAL! 👏 This goodest boy is ready to learn, and we have no doubt he’s going to catch on quickly and thrive throughout his training! 🐶✨

Kyle is in no hurry with Walter. The goal is to make training a positive experience and never create a negative association with something like the place mat. With rewards, positive affirmations, patience, and consistency, these two will get there in no time! 🙌

We can’t wait to watch Walter grow, learn, and show us just how much he can do! 🐾💙
