🚨 URGENT: SHEETS NEEDED FOR PIPER & HER PUPPIES! 🐾❤️

We had quite the surprise waiting for us this morning! Our rescue dog, Piper, decided today was the perfect day to welcome her puppies into the world! 🐶🐶🐶 Momma and babies are doing well, but we are going through bedding much faster than expected.

We are currently in need of clean sheets, flat sheets, fitted sheets, old blankets, and towels that can be used to help keep Piper and her newborn puppies warm, clean, and comfortable.

If you have any sheets or bedding you are no longer using and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful! Every donation helps us provide the best care possible for this sweet little family.

As many of you already know, Wags2Wishes Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based rescue. Rescues simply cannot survive without dedicated volunteers and foster homes. As we continue to grow, so do the needs of the animals depending on us every single day.

We now operate a large facility that includes a large dog section, small dog section, cat section, and isolation area. In order for us to continue operating smoothly and giving these animals the care they deserve, we need volunteers on a consistent basis.

At minimum, we need:
• Four volunteers per shift, twice daily
• Additional midday volunteers whenever possible
• Foster homes willing to temporarily open their hearts and homes to animals in need

Current critical volunteer needs:
• Wednesday AM & PM shifts — VERY short staffed
• Thursday AM & PM shifts — VERY short staffed
• Saturday shifts — Critical need
• Friday volunteer hours: 8:00–10:00 AM and 5:30–7:30 PM

Please consider signing up for a shift, even if it’s only a few hours a week. Every single volunteer matters, and every extra set of hands allows us to save more lives.

Fostering is equally important. Foster homes help us:
• Save animals that may otherwise not have placement
• Reduce stress in the rescue environment
• Learn more about an animal’s personality in a home setting
• Open kennel space for incoming emergencies
• Give puppies, seniors, medical cases, and scared animals a calmer environment to decompress

Without fosters and volunteers, rescue simply does not function. These animals depend on all of us working together as a team.

If you have ever considered volunteering or fostering, now is the time. Even one shift a week or one foster placement can truly change and save lives.

🐾🎉 Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue & Wags 2 Wellness Veterinary Care Center will be at the For the Love of Dogs After Party this Saturday! 🎉🐾

Come out and join us on Saturday, June 6th at 174 S. Harrison St., Oswego, IL immediately following the parade from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM!

We’ll be there with some of our amazing adoptable dogs and would love for you to stop by, say hello, learn more about our rescue, and meet some wonderful pups looking for their forever homes. ❤️🐶
