Yesterday we had the privilege of helping a very special guest from the Humane Society of Madison County. 🩵🐾

When we received a call about a newly arrived Newfoundland mix with severe matting, we were happy to make room in our schedule to help.

Her coat was unfortunately beyond saving. The matting was extremely dense and had hardened throughout much of the coat, making a shave-down the safest and most humane option.

After a bath, cleanup, and lots of TLC, she left feeling much more comfortable and ready for her next chapter.

We are grateful for the work the Humane Society of Madison County does every day for animals in need, and we’re honored we could play a small part in helping this sweet girl.

She’s now looking for a loving family to call her own. If you think she might be the perfect fit, please reach out to the Humane Society of Madison County for more information.

One thing we didn't fully expect when opening Classy Tails was all of the funny little routines dogs would develop.

Some head straight for the window.

Some follow us around all day.

Some insist on supervising everything we do.

And some claim a favorite chair and act like they own the place. 🩵🐾

Every dog that comes through our doors has their own little personality, and getting to know those quirks is one of our favorite parts of the job.

One of our favorite things about working in a smaller salon is that we have the time to slow down.

Not every dog wants to play. Not every dog wants treats. Sometimes they just want a quiet place to sit and watch the world go by.

When a dog needs a little extra time, we’re happy to meet them where they are.

One of our favorite things about being in Plain City is getting to know the people and dogs that make this community special. 🩵

We’ve met puppies, seniors, rescue dogs, farm dogs, couch potatoes, professional squirrel watchers, and everything in between.

Every dog who walks through our doors has their own personality, quirks, and story, and we genuinely enjoy getting to know each one.

A little reminder before the holiday weekend 🩵

Classy Tails will be closed Saturday through Monday for Memorial Day weekend so our team can spend time with family and enjoy a little extra rest.

We’ll reopen Tuesday and return messages as soon as we’re back in the salon.

We’ve been thankful to stay busy lately, and because of that Logan picked up an extra shift this week to help open a few more appointment spots. 🩵

If your dog has been needing a bath, tidy-up, deshed, or full groom, we do have some availability over the next few days.

Sometimes these extra openings are perfect for getting in before vacations, cookouts, family photos, or just because your dog is starting to look a little… loved. 😊

Holiday weekends, graduations, cookouts, and summer plans are starting to fill the calendar… and our phones have definitely been reflecting that lately 🩵🐾

To help accommodate a few more dogs before the busy weekend, we’ve opened up some additional bath appointments today with Ella, along with a handful of remaining appointments this week.

If your dog could use a fresh bath, brush out, nail care, or a little extra pampering before weekend plans begin, we’d love to help.

A clean dog just seems to fit better into holiday weekends, backyard cookouts, and family photos ✨

Regular nail care is important for comfort, posture, and healthy movement — especially for dogs that spend a lot of time on softer surfaces like grass, carpet, or furniture.

Some dogs naturally wear their nails down more than others, but many benefit from routine maintenance throughout the year.

We offer walk-in nail services on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4–6 PM 🩵

We have bath and deshed appointments available tomorrow with Logan and Ella! 🩵

If your dog is blowing coat, feeling a little grimy, or just overdue for a good scrub and brush out, this is the perfect time to get on the schedule.

Bath appointments at Classy Tails include luxury shampoo and conditioner, nail care, ear cleaning, tooth brushing, and lots of one-on-one attention in our calm environment.

And honestly… we LOVE a good undercoat removal transformation around here. ✨
