The cats got an upgrade. 😻

A few of our volunteers recently pitched in together to purchase a brand-new cat tree for the room, and the cats have already given it their stamp of approval.

From climbing and playing to lounging and napping, it didn’t take long for them to make themselves right at home. Watching them enjoy it has been the best reward.

A huge shoutout to Medha, who assembled the entire thing in record time! 🛠️👏 We were impressed, and more importantly, the cats were too.

Moments like these are only possible because of the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and hearts to our rescue. Whether they’re caring for cats, helping at events, transporting animals, fundraising, or spoiling the cats with things like this, they continually go above and beyond.

We are so grateful for our volunteer family and everything they do to make life better for the cats in our care. ❤️🐾

🐾 Meet the Dalmatians Litter! 🐾

Can you believe these adorable kitties are already about a year old? We’ve had them since they were tiny little kittens, and watching them grow into the playful, loving cats they are today has been such a joy. ❤️

Each one has their own unique personality, but they all share one thing in common: they’re looking for forever homes!

✨ Pongo & Patch are a bonded pair and would love to stay together.
✨ Perdita & Penny are also bonded and ready to continue their adventures side by side.
✨ Prince can join any of his siblings or another friendly feline friend who will cuddle, play, and keep him company.

You can meet the whole crew at Catcetera Cat Lounge in Raritan, New Jersey, right next to Candyland Sweets! Not only can you spend time with these amazing cats, but you’ll also be supporting a wonderful local small business. 🐱☕

These cats have come such a long way and are absolutely thriving at the lounge. Now all they need is a family to call their own.

What a fantastic day at the Hunterdon County World Fair! 🧡🐾

We had an absolute blast meeting so many animal lovers, sharing our mission, and spreading the word about rescue. Events like these are incredibly important because every conversation, every donation, and every new supporter helps us save more cats and kittens in need.

Our feline ambassadors enjoyed plenty of kitten and cat cuddle time throughout the day (with lots of AC breaks, of course! 😸). We couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers who came out to help make the day a success. The dedication, compassion, and heart of this community never cease to amaze us. We truly have the best rescue family, and we’re honored to be a part of it.

A huge thank you to Hunterdon County World Fair - Presented by Descendants Brewing Company County World Fair staff for welcoming us and helping make the day such a success. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to The Purrfect Pet, Inc. pet Store in Milford, NJ, for allowing our cats and kittens to cool down in their store throughout the day. We are so grateful for your kindness, support, and hospitality! 🧡

Events like these help us gain visibility, connect with our community, raise much-needed donations, and ultimately rescue more cats. Every person who stopped by our booth played a part in helping us continue our mission.

Rescue can be a little chaotic sometimes… so every now and then, our kitties deserve a chance to relax and regulate their nervous systems too. 🎶🐾

During a recent volunteer shift, we decided to play some calming music for our rescue cats, and let’s just say… it was a hit. 😴💕

One by one, the cats settled in for naps, stretched out in their favorite spots, and completely melted into relaxation mode. Georgia even fell asleep while holding onto a volunteer’s finger. 🥹

These moments remind us how important it is to help our cats feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they wait for their forever families.

Charles. Charlie. Sir Purrs-a-Lot. Charles the Chonk. 👑🐾

After spending so much time with Charles, we’ve gotten to know every side of this lovable boy—and trust us, there are a LOT of sides to love. ❤️

At just 2.5 years old, Charles is equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, professional purr machine, and certified chonk. Whether he’s purring at the sight of food, showing off his goofy personality, or making friends with every cat he meets, Charles always keeps us entertained.

And honestly? We have no idea why he’s still waiting for his forever home.

Charles absolutely adores other cats. He loves rubbing up against them, grooming them, playing with them, and simply being their best friend. Because of that, he’d thrive in a home with a friendly feline companion to love.

This sweet boy has brought so much joy to our volunteers, and while we’ll definitely miss seeing his handsome face every day, nothing would make us happier than seeing him finally find the family he deserves. 🏡

Meet Elka & Joy 🖤🤍

These adorable tuxedo sisters are two of the four sisters named after the ladies from Hot in Cleveland, and they are looking for a forever home together!

At just 2 years old, Elka and Joy are still a little shy, but every day we see them grow more confident, curious, and comfortable. They love to play, cuddle up together, and are happiest when they have each other by their side. Watching them slowly come out of their shells has been such a joy.

Both girls are incredibly sweet, very food motivated, and just need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space to acclimate, feel safe, and truly shine. We know that once they settle into a loving home, their personalities will continue to blossom.

Most of all, these sisters deserve the chance to stretch out, explore, and enjoy life outside of a cage. 🐾

Libby’s babies have all found their forever homes… now it’s finally HER turn. 🤍

When Libby first came to us, she was scared, stressed, and pregnant with six kittens. She spent all of her energy being an incredible mom, making sure her babies were safe and cared for. One by one, every kitten found a family of their own, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

Now, sweet Libby is ready for her happily ever after.

Over the months, we’ve watched her slowly come out of her shell. She’s discovered that toys are fun, treats are exciting, and people can be trusted. One of her favorite things? Giving little head bumps to the volunteers she loves. 🥹 She enjoys pets, loves food, and is becoming more curious and confident every day.

Libby is still a little shy at first, but underneath that gentle exterior is a loving girl who just wants to feel safe. We think she would thrive in a home with friendly, confident cats who can help show her the ropes.

This beautiful girl has stolen the hearts of so many volunteers. Now all she needs is someone to give her the chance she deserves.

🐾 Volunteer Appreciation Day 🐾

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to celebrate something incredibly special—our volunteers. ❤️

Beacon of Hope Animal Rescue would simply not be where it is today without the selfless, hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated people who give their time to help cats in need. Volunteer Appreciation Day gave us a chance to come together, share stories, talk about our cats, celebrate our successes, and enjoy the amazing community we’ve built along the way.

Whether it’s cleaning cages, feeding cats, transporting animals to vet appointments, helping at adoption events, fostering, or matching cats with their perfect families, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Every adoption, every rescue, and every second chance starts with people who care.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for the love, laughter, teamwork, and countless hours you pour into our mission. 💙
