No parent should ever have to prepare to say goodbye to their 10-year-old child.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what my Brother-in-law is facing right now.

My nephew, Lyam, has been battling brain cancer since he was an infant. His parents have spent his entire life fighting for him. They have been through hell and back—treatments, setbacks, moments when we thought he had beaten it, and the devastation of learning that the cancer had returned. The fact that they have gotten ten years with this incredible little boy is something none of us will ever take for granted.

Next week, Lyam will be entering end-of-life hospice care.

His dad is taking four weeks of UNPAID FMLA so he can be home with Lyam and their family.

Lyam also has two sisters who are preparing to lose their brother.

Right now, the last thing any of them should have to worry about is whether Dad needs to go back to work because bills don't just disappear when our hearts are breaking.

So I'm asking for help.

Our first goal is $3,100—approximately $1,500 for one month of their mortgage and $1,600 for four weeks of groceries.

Anything raised beyond that will go toward keeping his dad home for as long as possible, so he can spend this time with his son, be there for Lyam's sisters, and, when the time comes, have the chance to grieve with his family without the strain of finances.

I've started a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to help.

For anyone who knows me personally and is comfortable sending directly through Venmo, you are also welcome to do that to avoid the crazy fees they charge. That allows every dollar to go directly toward their mortgage and groceries without fundraising fees to a platform. I completely understand anyone who would rather donate through GoFundMe if you don't know me personally

Venmo: -view-equestrian (9338) put the memo "Lyam"

We can't change what is happening to Lyam.

We can't make this fair.

But maybe, together, we can give this family time.

Time for a dad to be with his son.

Time for two sisters to be with their brother.

Time for a family to say goodbye.

And eventually, time to grieve.

If you can't donate, please share. Even that could put this in front of someone who can.

I just want this family to be able to focus on loving Lyam to the fullest for however much time they have left ❤️

Rider wanted for a 1 month, free show lease:

I would like to find Sean a rider to show him at AINY the first week of October in either the 2' or 2'3" division over multiple days.

Willing to offer a free lease at either my place or an approved facility/trainer for the month so long as he's shown at AINY.

Will be current on his shoeing cycle, injections, vaccines, and come with all his supplements, tack/blankets if necessary. Including his saddle.

He is currently in light work and can only achieve this if the person is able to ride 4-5 times a week consistently to get him fit enough by then.

Sean has shown and will go around. But he is not a dead head. He is bopping around little kids at home over small fences right now. But will need a calm, level headed rider at a venue like the coliseum. He's not going to be a packer if you're a ball of anxiety. He's not a bucker or a spinner. But he will get wide eyed, short, and bouncy if he gets nervous. The rider has to be able to just ignore it and he'll relax.

No jumpers - just hunter rounds. His bionic leg is not made for tight turns anymore.

I'm not looking for someone to feel pressured to go in and win. This is about helping me continue to expose him while my life is so chaotic. You can go in and trot every fence if you want and I'll still be happy if you make it a nice experience for him.

Game to entertain my eventer friends as well who would like the opportunity to dabble in the hunter world.

TRAILER LOADING LESSONS

Does your horse refuse to load? Do you get anxious about loading? Are you tired of leaving for a show or trail ride wondering whether you'll actually be able to get your horse back on the trailer to come home?

Trailer loading shouldn't bring you to tears, have you seeing red, or fearing for your safety.

I'm now offering traveling, hands-on trailer loading lessons for horses and their owners.

I travel to you to work with your truck and trailer or I can bring mine!

These lessons are for:
• Problem loaders, nervous horses & horses with bad past experiences
• Young horses learning for the first time
• Owners who have lost confidence or become anxious about loading
• Anyone who wants their horse prepared to load safely and reliably—especially in the event of an emergency

This isn't about getting your horse on the trailer once and slamming the doors behind them as quickly as possible. You'll be hands-on and learn how to use the same pressure-and-release methods yourself, with the goal of creating a confident horse and a confident handler.

No brooms. No whips. No butt ropes. No pulling. No lunging horses into submission.

17 years professional training experience, commercial equine shipper, and fully insured

Lessons are billed on the half hour with a travel fee. You choose the length of time. One session or as many as you and your horse need to feel safe and confident in every situation!

Alpine’s Parting Glass “Sean” — Available for Lease

9-year-old, 16h Westphalian gelding.

• Hunter/Dressage background
• Educated, comfortable ride with a flying change when fit
• Best suited for an experienced, confident rider with a consistent schedule
• Suitable through 2’6” — no jumpers or eventing
• Requires a low-starch, full-forage diet
• Has injection maintenance that must be kept up annually
• Full shoes
• 6- or 12-month contract available
• Paid trial can be discussed

Sean is not your typical goofy gelding. He has had a horribly unfair and unkind life that has left him with some trust issues when being handled. He is a quirky horse who needs a strict care and exercise routine to perform at the level he is capable of. He is a one-person horse and is absolutely not available for lesson programs.

His current lease price reflects that he is not in consistent work and will need some fitness conditioning before returning to full work. He is currently being ridden just a few times per week by a young beginner child in low-level lessons.

Unrated miles. Still eligible for baby green

Will be sent with full set of blankets, fly gear, and some tack.

Located in Bloomfield, NY.

Serious inquiries are welcome to reach out for his full information, maintenance/history, lease requirements, photos and videos.

We have a tractor trailer of shavings being delivered today. We will have about 180 bags I can part ways with as they don't fit into my storage space.

Facebook does NOT send me notifications. If you're interested, please message me or I won't see your inquiry.

Plainville shavings

Dust screened. Bags are marked 3.0cubic feet. But they are definitely 3.25 and expand significantly more than other brands. I don't need as many bags per stall to make them fluffy.

$6.15/bag

Venmo, zelle or PayPal are preferred methods of payment.

Bloomfield, NY

There is no discount for buying a full pallet. You pick up and load. Hand loading only, we do not have a fork lift to put them on your trailer or truck.

FOR LEASE:

She has not been in work for months due to a soft tissue injury rehab. It is not fair, safe, or realistic to expect to be able to come w/t/c and jump a horse who has only been tack walking and trotting. If you are not experienced in bringing a horse back into work - this is not the situation for you as a lot of time, energy, and money has been invested into this special mare. She is very bored and ready to go back to work. But no test rides are being offered at this time.

We have received a lot of inappropriate messages regarding this mare due to her waived fee and good looks. Although we understand the excitement, it is important that this mare is matched with an advanced rider and program with an educated understanding of budgeting for month to month care and have the skills to handle a young, green horse coming off an extensive rehab.

All contact needs to be 18+ years old minimum. Trainer contact preferred.

Lady Adeline
"Adeline"
16.3hh
2022 TB
Unraced

Off-site care lease (no fee) being offered on a month to month basis.

**If things are going well, an extension past the care lease can be discussed.

*Will not send her out for eventing, gaming, reining, western of any kind, lesson programs, etc.

--------------
BACKGROUND:

Adeline is young, high quality, hack winning TB who is unraced. Do not let her chestnut coat or gender fool you - she is a lapdog with a personality that matches her talent.

She was purchased in 2025 to join my lease and show program and was exceeding our wildest expectations. But an unfortunate soft tissue injury derailed our progress. During her rehab - I became pregnant and had to stop riding earlier than planned. I do not want this talented young mare sitting on the back burner while I bounce back from my pregnancy. She is not back into full work yet and will need to be reconditioned - which is reflected in the fact that this is a care lease.

---------------------
TRAINING:
- W/T/C with voice commands under saddle
-Basic dressage (leg yields, collects, lengthens, connects with the bit, long and low, shoulder-in/haunch-in, basic transitions)
-Flying change when in shape
-Has jumped up to 2'
-Push ride, but holds her gait (when in consistent work)

*Everything will be rusty as she is not back in full work yet!

She is going to need an experienced rider to bring her back into work. She is a push ride when in full work but is probably going to be spicy after such a lengthy rehab with strict stall rest.

SHOWING:
Has traveled to several shows to school but was not entered due to age and training at the time.

PERSONALITY:

Adeline's personality is what makes her a barn favorite. She loves humans and doesnt appear to have a mean bone in her body. She will snuggle all day long and is kind to the beginners and kids.

She needs sedation for clipping as the buzzing still makes her a bit nervous - but we're sure she'll overcome it with time and exposure.

Although she has hacked young children around in lessons and ba****ck pre injury - she is NOT bombproof and still has young horse moments that need to be met with a confident handler.
---------------------

Off-site Option:
-Fee: None
-Will send with all her blankets
-Will send with custom saddle/Thinline/Bridle
-If interested, please be prepared to be asked a very long list of questions about training styles, riding abilities, boarding, staff, care, etc.
-Must remain insured by lessee through lessor
-Will only send to approved facilities and programs

-----------------------
Limited videos available due to timing of the injury.

No trials
