This is a long post about the weekend lots of good stuff!
We had such a fun day yesterday! We have a special extended stay pup here this weekend. Odie came to stay with us so I invited Ryah over to play. Ryah and Odie used to play a lot together. He is doing better and seemed to enjoy playing once he was able to regulate. He was so over stimulated when a few other dogs showed up he shut down. So we let him take his time as you can see he joined right in once he was ready. Its about letting your dog take their time. No need to rush, stay present and help or let your dog work through the feelings!
Lexi came back for a visit this weekend and she is doing amazing! She has come so far! Her owners are so happy with her training results they continue to be consistent and have implemented routines and schedules that work for their household. She appears very happy and well balanced! Way to go Lexi! Lexi will join daycare on Thursdays from time to time.
Denbae also came over for the day another pup that we are seeing so many changes and evidence of balance in his life! His owners and I talked about his growth over the last few weeks. I see lots of changes here during daycare and his visits. He is able to regulate his energy better to reduce over stimulation and possible reactivity in the future! We have introduced several tools to our tool box for Denbae but with consistency, and team work between his owners and myself we are proud of the results from the work we have put in.
I cant forget to mention how far Ryah has come to join the pack outside. In the, not so long past Ryah would stay inside on a bed or hide in the corner. Ryah was never a fan of commotion, now she joins in on her terms. And will lounge with the rest of the pack on her terms. Another case of fear of everything but to see the growth over the last few years to get where she is now has all been worth it!
Last but never least PACHI! Let me just say how patient, tolerant, a great working helper dog, loving, and again patient. Not only doesnt he have patience will ALL the dogs that stay with us but he waits for his human more times then I can count...lol. God surly knew what he was doing when he chose me for Pachi and I wouldn't trade him for anything!
