Arlo personally dropped off a big batch of his namesake dog treats at Over the Moon Farmstead today. We stayed for some delicious beverages, gorgeous views, and some live music from very talented musicians. Nice night! ❤️❤️

Arlo is finally feeling better after two months of grogginess from an increase in his epilepsy medication, and we got out to a new spot yesterday. The Tilton Senior Center invited us to visit them as they were waiting for lunch to be served. Arlo met at least 20 new people and he did great, but needed a break after a while. It’s tough work being so cute and friendly!

Arlo is also sad that Norway lost.😢

Seriously though, I wanted to post an update on Arlo, because he hasn’t been at his usual activity level for a while. We have not been able to do therapy visits all summer due to a change in his epilepsy meds which has made him weak and even wobblier on his feet than normal. After our last vet visit and bloodwork it was determined that he needed a med boost, which always sets him back for a couple of months while his body adjusts. Going through it during peak summer temps makes it so much more difficult than it would be in the winter. He’s hanging in there though and swimming in Maine whenever possible, which not only strengthens his weak hind end but also keeps him cooler. No major clumsiness accidents or injuries so far either - yay! I’m hoping that during the next cool spell I’ll finally be able to schedule visits for him. In the meantime I’m looking into some possibilities for new sites to visit.

Stay cool everyone!😃

Have a meaningful Memorial Day weekend, all.

Arlo made his second visit to UNH for finals week at the library on Wednesday. This is probably the setting that is the most satisfying for everyone - Arlo absolutely revels in the attention, the students seem to love and need this type of mental break, and I get so much satisfaction from knowing that John and I are sharing our boy with others who appreciate him. It was a rainy day but our hearts were filled with sun and warmth!

Arlo and I finally made it back to the nursing home yesterday after being out of state for a couple of months. He really seemed so happy to be back there.

I’m also including a pic of him in the elevator, staring at the back wall like he always does. It’s as if someone trained him that this is the way you’re supposed to ride an elevator. Silly boy.😂😂😂

After finalizing 2025 accounting, I am very proud to say that 100% of profits from Arlo’s Friends Brew Dog Treats were donated to worthy non-profit organizations in 2025! This year we did venture outside of the pet welfare space to also donate to one human welfare organization, which was done in honor of a local family.

Attaching a pic of Arlo sunning himself in the spring air today.🌞😃

It’s break time at the hospice house. We haven’t had the opportunity to be volunteer greeters here in a long time and we’ve missed it. Arlo gave comfort to two patients and many family members as well as staff today. Good job, Arlo!
