Seriously though, I wanted to post an update on Arlo, because he hasn’t been at his usual activity level for a while. We have not been able to do therapy visits all summer due to a change in his epilepsy meds which has made him weak and even wobblier on his feet than normal. After our last vet visit and bloodwork it was determined that he needed a med boost, which always sets him back for a couple of months while his body adjusts. Going through it during peak summer temps makes it so much more difficult than it would be in the winter. He’s hanging in there though and swimming in Maine whenever possible, which not only strengthens his weak hind end but also keeps him cooler. No major clumsiness accidents or injuries so far either - yay! I’m hoping that during the next cool spell I’ll finally be able to schedule visits for him. In the meantime I’m looking into some possibilities for new sites to visit.
