We still have a few events coming up this month!

Thursday, October 22nd, 6pm to 7pm is our pet loss grief and support group with Corey Brooks Intuitive. This is a relaxed, peer-led group where we can acknowledge and share our pet loss grief. (This event is USUALLY every third Thursday, but we switched it up this month)

Sunday, October 25th is a very exciting day with our book club meeting AND yoga! Book club is 4pm to 5pm, where we will be discussing The Woods All Black by Lee Mandelo. Right after that is yoga with cats with Liv!

You can see more info and sign up for events on our website under the events tab.

For whatever reason, we’ve gotten a rather large influx of people wanting to “buy” cats from us.

That is just not how it works here!

Our cats are adoptable from our partner rescue Frankie’s Friends Humane, and that wording matters to us!

“Buying” implies that you’re acquiring an object from us, not a living being. When you adopt a cat from us, you’re not just picking out a fluffy thing to look at on a shelf. You’re adding a family member to your family!

There is a process to adopting a cat. It’s not a simple monetary transaction. Our partner rescue carefully goes over every application to make sure the cats are going to loving, happy homes. This process can’t be accomplished instantly, so you should be prepared to wait a few days or even a week while applications are processed!

While there is an adoption fee for each cat, this is not a grand money-making scheme for Frankie’s Friends. Oftentimes the adoption fee doesn’t remotely begin to cover the full medical care that has gone into getting our cats healthy and ready for homes!

We are so proud to have done 1,600+ adoptions (NOT transactions) in the past 8 years!

Meet Tigger! 🐯

Tigger is a 1.5 year old male orange tabby.

Tigger is actually just a teddy bear in a cat costume. This man wants to cuddle all the time! He loves cheek scritches, belly rubs, kisses, and snuggles. I stopped petting him for a second so I could scoop litter, and he put his front paws on my shoulder to get more pets! He is just SOOOOO sweet.

Tigger is definitely a tree cat, meaning he loves to be up high on our climbing shelves and watch birdies through the window!

He seems just fine with other kitties, but could be a single cat no problem.

Tigger is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on flea preventative, and FIV-/FELV-.

Meet Flower! 🌸

Flower is a 5 month old female brown and white tabby. She has no eyes!

A somewhat common saying I have around here is “No eyes? No problem!” We’ve had many cats that are blind or have no eyes, and they never fail to amaze me at how well they adjust.

Flower is the most adventurous, playful, and friendly kitten in the room right now! You can usually find her chasing a jingly or crinkly toy across the floor. She keeps up playing wrestle with the other cats too! When she’s ready to relax, she curls up right in a lap for a cuddle. 💖

Flower is a pro at navigating her environment. She doesn’t need many special accommodations, if any! Just please don’t rearrange your furniture too often so she can get used to the layout.

Flower is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on flea preventative, and FIV-/FELV-.

Meet Courage!

Courage is a 3 month old female black cat.

Courage is the perfect name for this kitty, because she’s been through SO much and come so far in her short life. Courage was found with some really horrible wounds that required a ton of medical care from our partner rescue Frankie’s Friends Humane. Even though she was really injured, she’s feeling good as new! She has some scars and a super slight limp, but she is healthy and happy now.

Courage started out SO scared when she first got here. She hid down on the stairs where no one could see her :( Every day, thanks to her kitty friends, she’s gotten a little braver! Now you can find her out and about and even playing a little. She likes to be petted gently when she’s feeling safe and comfy. She’s not in-your-face social yet, but she is sweet!

She will need to be in a home with another kitty friend. Whether that’s a playful kitten who will chase toys with her, or a calm snuggly adult cat. She will be happy either way!

Courage is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on flea prevention, and FIV-/FELV-.

Hello friends! Our free pet food pantry has been looking a little sad. 😢

The way the economy is, everyone is struggling. Our pantry is getting a ton of use, but we’ve had difficulty keeping it stocked. Hundreds of community members rely on the pet food pantry to get them through this difficult time.

Please consider dropping off any pet food and supplies you don’t need! Food just has to be unopened and not expired! Major requests are dog food of any kind and cat litter in smaller containers.

Even a single spare can of cat food helps. 💖

We do have a wishlist and go fund me linked in our bio.

TAROT TUESDAY 🃏

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday, where one of our kitties pulls a tarot or oracle card for the week!

Today’s kitty is Sapphire (female, 4 months old, still available for adoption) and she picked the Traveler card.

This card invites you to take a bold leap of faith into the unknown. It’s really easy to fall into a set routine, and the traveler card encourages you to step out of your comfort zone a little.

We used the Feline Mystique deck by Jennifer Sodini and Amelia Rose | Fantasy Illustration! We have a few sets available here for purchase.
