Harley is a front declawed, senior kitty. Approx. 10. She's fully vetted and microchipped.
Harley will do best in a calm home with no other cats or dogs. She may be okay with older pets, with a very slow introduction.
This beautiful, sweet, senior kitty will be happiest curled up on your lap, purring quietly while you read or watch TV. Her favorite things are cheek and head scritches and lounging in comfy beds, the softer the better.
Occasionally, she can get overstimulated and may give you a 'love bite', letting you know she's had enough pets.
Her journey:
Harley was rescued from a home with domestic violence. She was very withdrawn and fearful of everything. She was adopted by a kind and patient woman. For over a year, she had been slowly gaining her trust. Sadly, the woman passed away.
The husband was indifferent to Harley. He did the bare minimum with providing her care. She became withdrawn again. She lived in the basement utility room, hiding behind the furnace, only coming out to eat and use the litter box.
She went on living or, existing, like that for nearly a year, with hardly any human interaction.
A year ago, the husband hired me as a pet sitter. When I found out how she'd been living, I was absolutely heartbroken.
Within a few weeks of me working with her, she was out from hiding and sitting on my lap. She was so starved for attention, love and pets.
It took several months of my repeated requests before the husband finally agreed to surrender her to me. He knew she deserved a better life.
So that she doesn’t have to endure the stress of being in a shelter, I'm keeping her in my home.
She's ready to find her person or family and live happily ever after.
