We would ❤️ your cardboard 📦 and 🥛 jugs! It’s time to smother and cover parts of the farm, and we use the jugs to winter sow some of our plants. Folks are welcome to drop items off during farm hours or leave them on the front porch of the cabin during off hours.

Our sweet neighbor, Paige, shared some of her sage in the free little pantry basket. Please stop by and take what you need.

This is a perfect time to dry out sage before thanksgiving. You can dehydrate it or hang it in a dry location. It will be ready to use when the holidays roll around!

The days are getting shorter, and the meals are getting warmer. Join us next Saturday for our monthly potluck at West View Urban Farm.

We will also be celebrating the hatch day of the Spice Girls, who hatched in late September! We will be serving a chicken appropriate cake! 🎂🐓🎉🥳

The Spice Girls had a spa day today thanks to Devan and Diane. The Girls have been losing their feathers, and their skin can get irritated as new feathers grow in. Diane helped us make a special bath box, and we made an Epsom salt bath for the girls. They soaked in the water and ate snacks when they felt like looking outside the box.

Paprika and Pepper showed us the preferred method of bathing, which is the dust bath.

The rain has stopped and the basket is out! Thanks to Courtney Colonna Kuza, we have some beautiful purple and jalapeño peppers. There are also a few other delicious vegetables and some dried garlic from the farm. Come by 551 Perry Hwy!
