We had a top day yesterday in Frederick , MD trialing with Red Huskies Nosework! Miley banked 90 points and earned her ELT 3 title and a placement in one of the exteriors.

The top part of the day: We were so close to a Pronounced ribbon with 3 of 4 pronounced searches !!

We were so on but I couldn’t figure out what the problem was in our larger exterior where we missed two hides (the only two we missed all day). Time for some more exteriors homework….

Miley had an absolute blast !

These Power Alert 3 teams were in no short supply of enthusiasm when it came time to nail their interior searches at the children’s center! I was blown away by how well they all did!

On leash Rylie is ALL EARS!!

and it all starts with her nose…

You guessed it ! I’m plugging scentwork again. Scentwork fires up the brain systems responsible for attention, problem-solving, and emotional regulation! The same skills we need for a calm, confident and focused dog.

Bond, build confidence, explore, play, burn energy, manage stress, become a team! It is just such a fantastic dog training hack!

Congrats Team Scout!!! 2nd place overall is huge!!!!… especially with some of the searches being pretty tricky.

Congrats to Team Bailey on their best trial yet! Just barely missing their title but bringing home a couple placements to show for their perseverance and improvement!

Super proud of Team Hadley and Team Draco for coming so close and pushing through the heat and distractions of the day to get in some pronounced awards from the judges and to build those trial muscles!

So proud of all the Sniffsburgh teams that competed this weekend!! Some teams are celebrating titles and placements and some teams are celebrating breakthroughs but no matter the result each trial peals away at layer after layer of new skills to be built and new adventures to be had !
