Well, we did it again 😜 Welcoming old lady Agnes to the Canine Cabins family!

I saw an urgent plea for help from the Voices of the Trumbull Pound Dogs (where Andre came from), and immediately texted Bill: “We might be getting another dog.”

They think she’s 15. When they found her as a stray, she was completely flea-infested, with bacterial and fungal skin infections and ear infections.

The vet who saw her initially suggested euthanasia, but in Ohio they have to wait 3 days to see if the owner comes forward, so they started treatment.

She was sleeping most of her days away but began to improve with meds and some TLC. When she had enough energy to go for a short walk, they decided to see if anyone could give her a soft place to rest and recover. Into my truck she went!

She’s cute in a dog-meets-reptile kind of way, with her crusty skin and patchy hair 😂 She’s enjoying sleeping in the sun in my office, loves food and snacks, and likes short walks around the yard. She’s met Andre, Cody, Cedar, and Luka, and they’re all completely indifferent. She pees in the house a lot, but so does Andre, so we’re used to it 😂🙃

Thanks to our friends at Franklin Park Veterinary Hospital for helping us make sure she’s comfortable for whatever time she has left. ❤️

Jake (and his sister Iris) are frequent fliers. It is a pleasure hanging out with all the dogs, but a special bond is created when we are able to see certain dogs so often. I heard this audio and immediately thought of Jake, who is always so affectionate and the best boy! A dog's love is priceless and we all adore being able to not only give our love to the dogs, but feel that love from them in return. Even in the smallest ways! 🤎🥰🍂🐕🐾 - Brynn xx
