PetVet365 Pittsburgh/Shadyside at The Junction A Pet Parent Owned, Fear-Free Vet Experience. My name is Dr. Amanda Resek and I own PetVet365 Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA along with Dr. Megan Garrison.

We believe the perfect vet visit is one where science meets heart with a sprinkle or two of magic. That’s why my team is trained and certified to give your pet the very best Fear Free care (think: treats, belly rubs, snuggles). We also specifically designed our hospital to feel like home - no waiting rooms, cat-only suites, comfy couches, and more. We offer the very best veterinary care for dogs and cats - general care, urgent care, laser therapy, immunotherapy, behavioral care, dental care, blood work, vaccinations, x-rays, surgery, physical therapy including an underwater treadmill, and anything else your pet needs!

This is what a calm exam looks like.

No cold metal table, no sterile waiting room. Just a living room, a couch, and two people making sure a dog feels safe before anything else happens.

For Animal Safety and Protection Month, we're reminded that safety starts with how a pet feels the moment they walk in.

When pets feel safe, everything about their care improves.

Some of the most important moments in an exam room don't involve any equipment at all.

A wellness exam gives us the chance to check in, not just on your dog's health, but on how they're feeling day to day. It's part of what makes veterinary care feel less like a one-time visit and more like an ongoing relationship.

Have questions about your dog's wellness exam? Call or text +1 412-912-8920 or click the link in the comments to book an appointment today.

Curiosity and candy don't mix well on Halloween.

Chocolate, xylitol, and wrappers can all cause serious problems if your pet gets into the treat bowl, and busy nights with the door opening again and again make it easier for pets to slip out unnoticed. A little extra awareness goes a long way.

- Keep candy out of reach
- Watch the door during trick-or-treating, and
- Make sure your pet's ID and microchip info is up to date just in case

Save this post so you have it handy during the chaos of the season.

Some of the best moments happen on the floor, not the exam table.

This is what Pet Wellness Month is about. It's not only vaccines and check-ups. It's the relationship built one visit at a time, the trust that grows when a pet feels safe, and the small moments in between that remind us why we do this work.

Wellness care looks different for every pet, but it always starts with connection.

Friendly reminder: keeping up with wellness visits helps protect these moments for years to come. Call or text +1 412-912-8920 or click the link in the comments to book an appointment today.

A current rabies vaccine does more than check a box. It helps protect your pet, the people around them, and your community.

World Rabies Day is a good reminder to make sure your pet’s rabies vaccine is up to date, especially if you are not quite sure when their last visit was. If your pet is due, our team can help you stay on track and answer any questions about what they may need.
