Can somebody whip up something creamy, luscious, sweet AND healthy?! 🤔🍓🍨

October 14 is National Dessert Day, and I’m calling out our kitchen creatives! Can you make a treat that has us licking the spoon and asking, “Now HOW did you make this?” 😋

A little friendly rivalry never hurt anybody… 👀 Who’s bringing the prettiest plate, and who’s bringing the best flavor? Because pretty has to taste good, too! 😂

📸 Drop YOUR dessert pictures below, tell us what’s in it, and share your secret if you’re feeling generous!

Cheer each other on—but a little “mine would give yours a run for its money” is welcome! 🤭❤️

Please note the store will be closed on this THURSDAY!

This past weekend nearly wiped me out—but it also filled me up! ❤️🌱

Doctors, nurses and residents showed up at Freeman Family Farm & Greenhouse and put their hands, hearts and muscles to work! Just like our Pitt volunteers, they lifted and moved more than 5,000 pounds of rock, fill and compost into the greenhouse, along with cleaning, weeding and giving nonstop energy to the task.

These brilliant people use their skills every day to heal others and respond in life-and-death moments. This weekend, they helped heal my tired soul. 🥹❤️

Thank you, Dr. Corey Flynn, Nick and Jodi McLaughlin, for helping bring this incredible support together. Jodi is also co-organizing the next group arriving this Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, from 8–11 AM!

Thank you, Liz Boxley for your generous donation that helped provide lunch, dinner and snacks last week. Feeding this hardworking crew was a blessing!

And thank you, Susan and Wil Thompkins, Sarah and her daughters, for being part of the crew moving thousands of pounds of fill. Every load brought us closer to getting this greenhouse ready to grow food for our community. And my newest friend arrived late on Sunday but running in the rain because she whipped up our own personal goodie bag of HOMEMADE English muffins (they were still warm) and her own strawberry jam. 😋

Y’all gave us so much more than help. You gave us strength, encouragement and a reminder that we don’t have to carry everything alone. My heart is FULL! 💚

Y’ALL… I CAN HARDLY STAND IT! ❤️😭🪑

Remember my post on Sunday about needing a little comfort and care because our “well-used” rocking chairs were ready to retire?

Look what arrived just TWO DAYS LATER… NEW ROCKING CHAIRS! ❤️

To whoever gifted us these chairs: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You’re giving us more than somewhere to sit. You’re helping make room for rest, conversation, comfort, and those sweet moments when somebody just needs to sit a spell.

Now here’s the cute backstory… certain people called me at 6 a.m. saying, “Take that post down! We’re going to buy them!” Well… hmmmm… somebody had already beaten them to it! 😂❤️ To everyone who wanted to help, please know your thoughtfulness means so much.

My cup is running over with sincere appreciation for ALL OF YOU! 🥰
