My name is Dr. Meghan Fincher and I own PetVet365 Ross Park in Pittsburgh, PA along with Dr. Megan Garrison. We believe the perfect vet visit is one where science meets heart with a sprinkle or two of magic. That’s why my team is trained and certified to give your pet the very best Fear Free care (think: treats, belly rubs, snuggles). We also specifically designed our hospital to feel like home - no waiting rooms, cat-only suites, comfy couches, and more. We offer the very best veterinary care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets - general care, urgent care, laser therapy, immunotherapy, behavioral care, dental care, blood work, vaccinations, ultrasounds, advanced diagnostics, x-rays, surgery, physical therapy, and anything else your pet needs!

A treat here and there is part of the fun of having a pet. Keeping an eye on portions is part of keeping them around for a long time.

Pet Obesity Awareness Day is a good excuse to think about the extras: the pup cups, the table scraps, the "just one more" treat. None of that is off limits. The amount matters, and so does what the rest of the day's meals look like.

A nutritional evaluation gives you a clear picture of where your pet stands and what a healthy weight actually looks like for their size and age.

This is what a calm exam looks like.

No cold metal table, no sterile waiting room. Just a living room, a couch, and two people making sure a dog feels safe before anything else happens.

For Animal Safety and Protection Month, we're reminded that safety starts with how a pet feels the moment they walk in.

When pets feel safe, everything about their care improves.

Last week, Dr. Fincher took the team out to celebrate being open for 4 years! We had a great time glass-blowing and going to dinner together.

We look forward to many more years of being there for our clients and patients. 💙

Some of the most important moments in an exam room don't involve any equipment at all.

A wellness exam gives us the chance to check in, not just on your dog's health, but on how they're feeling day to day. It's part of what makes veterinary care feel less like a one-time visit and more like an ongoing relationship.

Have questions about your dog's wellness exam? Call or text +1 724-803-8885 or click the link in the comments to book an appointment today.

Curiosity and candy don't mix well on Halloween.

Chocolate, xylitol, and wrappers can all cause serious problems if your pet gets into the treat bowl, and busy nights with the door opening again and again make it easier for pets to slip out unnoticed. A little extra awareness goes a long way.

- Keep candy out of reach
- Watch the door during trick-or-treating, and
- Make sure your pet's ID and microchip info is up to date just in case

Save this post so you have it handy during the chaos of the season.

Some of the best moments happen on the floor, not the exam table.

This is what Pet Wellness Month is about. It's not only vaccines and check-ups. It's the relationship built one visit at a time, the trust that grows when a pet feels safe, and the small moments in between that remind us why we do this work.

Wellness care looks different for every pet, but it always starts with connection.

Friendly reminder: keeping up with wellness visits helps protect these moments for years to come. Call or text +1 724-803-8885 or click the link in the comments to book an appointment today.
