🍂🏠 Wellness Wednesday: Pet-Proof Your Home for Fall! 🐾
Fall is just around the corner, which means changing decorations, seasonal treats, and cooler-weather activities—but don't forget to make sure your home is safe for your furry family members! 🐶🐱🍁

Take a quick look around your home and keep these potential hazards out of paw's reach:

🌿 Toxic plants
☠️ Rodent bait & pesticides
🧴 Household chemicals & cleaners
🧸 Small objects and toys that can be swallowed
🍫 Foods that aren't safe for pets

A little prevention can go a long way in keeping your pets safe, happy, and healthy this fall! 💛🐾

🐾💉 Pet Health Mythbusters! 💉🐾
MYTH: “My pet doesn’t need vaccines because they don’t go outside.”

FACT: Even indoor pets can be exposed to infectious diseases! 🦠 Viruses and bacteria can make their way inside on shoes, clothing, other pets, and more. Keeping your pet up to date on their recommended vaccines is an important part of protecting their health. 💚🐶🐱

Don’t let staying indoors give you a false sense of security—prevention is always better than treatment! 🩺✨

We’re so happy to officially introduce the newest member of the Cornerstone family—Luna! 🐱💚

Luna has a very special story and an even more special connection to our clinic. She was actually a clinic cat when she was younger, but unfortunately, she and Hermione didn’t get along. We reached out to our longtime client, Larry Elmer Underwood, and asked if he would be able to give Luna a home. Larry opened his heart and home to her, and the two instantly clicked. They were together ever since. 🥹🐾

Sadly, Larry recently passed away following some health challenges. While our hearts are heavy with the loss of such an amazing client and wonderful man, we feel incredibly grateful to have Luna back with us. She has brought so much joy, love, and beautiful memories of Larry into our clinic. 💚

Luna is already making herself right at home! She LOVES cuddles, is quite the little adventurer, and takes every opportunity to explore every corner of the clinic. She’s slowly being introduced to our other clinic cats and, of course, absolutely loves meeting our clients and patients each day. 🐾🌙

We’re honored to welcome Luna back to Cornerstone and to give her a loving home here at the clinic. Having her with us is such a wonderful way to keep a little piece of Larry close. We know he would be happy to see her surrounded by so much love. ❤️

Welcome home, Luna. We’re so lucky to have you back! 🐱🌙💚

Meet Piper, our September Pet of the Month! 🐾🤎

At 12 years young, Piper is a lovable goofball, professional bed hog, and certified snack-time alarm clock. 😂 When he’s not reminding everyone that it’s time for a treat, he’s busy loving everyone he meets!

Don’t let that sweet face fool you, though—Piper is also an accomplished Master Hunter, Obedience, Retrieving, and Canine Good Citizen titles to prove it! 🦆🏆

We’re so happy to celebrate this special boy this September. Give Piper some love in the comments! 🐾🧡

🐾 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: 5 THINGS YOUR PET CAN’T TELL YOU 🐾

Our pets may not be able to tell us when something hurts or when they aren't feeling their best, but they often give us subtle clues. ❤️

Keep an eye out for changes in:
🩹 Behavior or movement
🦷 Eating or chewing
🤢 Appetite or bathroom habits
😟 Mood or activity level
❤️ Overall routine

Knowing what is “normal” for your pet makes it easier to notice when something has changed. And when in doubt, it's always best to check with your veterinarian! 🐶🐱

They may not have the words, but they're always communicating with us. 🐾

🐾 Pet Health MythBusters! 🐾

Have you heard that a female dog needs to go through one heat cycle before being spayed? 🤔

🚨 Myth busted! There’s no one-size-fits-all rule that every female dog needs to have a heat cycle before spaying. Spaying can help prevent unwanted pregnancies and offers important health benefits, but the best timing can vary based on your dog’s age, breed, size, and individual health needs. 🐶💚

Not sure when the right time is for your pup? Talk with your veterinarian—they can help you decide what’s best for your pet!
