WORLD RABIES DAY — STRONGER TOGETHER 🐾
Today is World Rabies Day, and this year’s theme is “Stronger Together.” 💙
Rabies is a serious but preventable disease that affects both animals and people. Keeping our pets current on their rabies vaccinations is one of the most important things we can do to protect our families, our pets, and our communities.
And this is an especially important reminder right now. Health officials are reporting an increase in human exposures to rabies and are urging everyone to take potential exposures seriously.
🐕 Keep pets vaccinated
🐈 Keep pets away from wildlife
🦇 Never approach or handle wild animals that appear sick, injured, or are acting strangely
🚨 If you or your pet are bitten or scratched by an unfamiliar or wild animal, contact your doctor or veterinarian right away.
Rabies prevention takes all of us — pet owners, veterinarians, healthcare professionals, and our communities. Together, we are stronger.
