Choosing when and where to allow your dog off leash is really important. Even though I trust my dogs and know that they will always come back, I don't want to tempt them on this trail when I know there are almost always deer nearby. Ten foot leashes are great for this and off leash freedom can wait until the environment is less tempting.

Off leash freedom doesn't always come easy. My big boy struggled with chase drive when I first got him. I was told that he would never be able to be off leash. He isn't 100% rock solid yet, but he's pretty close and I can trust him most of the time. The best part is getting to see him and Fern run around together.
If you need help with chase drive, feel free to reach out to me. I get it. It's hard. But it can change!
