This handsome gentleman is 8 years young and has been waiting ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR for someone to call his own!

In honor of National Make A Dog's Day, we're hoping to help Taz finally find the family he deserves!

Don't let his age fool you! 🐕 Taz is an affectionate, playful Black Lab who loves adventures, staying active, and spending time with his people! He's housetrained, crate trained, and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids! 💕

🏡 His dream home? A loving family with a fenced yard and plenty of opportunities to explore!

If you're looking for a best friend who will keep you laughing, get you moving, and love you endlessly, Indy might just be your girl! 🥰

At almost 2 years old, this sweet 35-pound girl is full of energy, affection, and the goofiest personality! She loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and never wants to miss out on the fun! 🐕💨

Indy is also housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands! 🌟 She gets along with dogs, cats, and kids, although her playful energy is best suited for a family comfortable with an active pup.

❤️ Before joining Paws of the Pines Rescue, Indy spent 79 days in a shelter waiting for someone to give her a chance. Now she's ready for the next chapter — a forever home filled with adventures, laughter, and love!

🚨🆘 MASSIVE SOS! WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🆘🚨

💜 $5,000 FUNDRAISING GOAL 💜

We haven’t made a big donation push in a while. We’ve been doing okay, thankfully without too many major medical scares. But our shelter partner just reached out about this little lady, and we need our village.

She was found as a stray, and her finder reported that she dribbled urine all night. Once she arrived at the shelter, it became clear she was hurting. A trip to Urgent Vets for Pets revealed why…

HOLY BLADDER STONE. 😳

Her surgery has been quoted at $3,000. She is currently receiving antibiotics and pain medication, with surgery planned for Monday.

This little girl needs help, and she isn’t the only one counting on us.

• We have approximately EIGHT dogs undergoing heartworm treatment.
• We have new pups who haven’t even been tested yet.
• We have a momma dog who is skin and bones and needs care.
• We still have upcoming spay/neuter appointments and other veterinary expenses.

We want to help her. But we need help, too.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to cover her estimated surgery cost and give us some breathing room for additional care or an unexpected emergency.

Anything remaining after her surgery will go directly toward our animals’ veterinary needs, including heartworm treatment, spay/neuter appointments, and emergency care.

Every dollar will help an animal who needs us.

Harvey’s wishlist is pretty simple: room to play, people to love, and a family to call his own.

This handsome boy is 8, almost 9 months old, kennel trained, and LOVES a good play session in the yard!

His ideal home?

🐕 Larger dogs who can handle his rough and tumble play style

🚫 No kitties.. chasing cats is a little too exciting for him

🍽️ Separate meals from other dogs, since he can guard his food from them. He is very respectful with people around food!

Harvey came to us with a terrible head injury, but there is so much more to this boy than what happened to him. He’s playful, sweet, and has a whole life ahead of him.

💜 HARVEY’S NEXT CHAPTER 💜

At just 8, almost 9 months old, Harvey has already overcome more than any puppy should.

He came to us after a local animal control officer found him with a severe head injury. We thought he might need extensive surgery, and we weren’t even sure what remained of his eye beneath the injury. But as he healed, this young boy surprised us; he was able to keep his eye, and he can see with it!

Today, Harvey is a beautiful, sweet boy who loves playing in the yard and is ready for a family of his own.

🐾 Kennel trained
🐾 Larger dog playmates are a better fit as he can play too roughly with little dogs
🐾 No cats..he chases them
🐾 Respectful around food with people, but he can guard food from other dogs and needs separate feeding spaces

He’s come so far. Help us find the family who will love him through everything that comes next.

We didn’t know if Harvey would get to keep his eye. Now, we get to watch him enjoy the world with it.

When Harvey arrived after being found by a local animal control officer, his head injury was so severe that we thought extensive surgery would be needed. We couldn’t even tell whether his eye was still there and functional.

Thankfully, his young body did an incredible amount of healing on its own and that eye was still there, still usable.

Now 8, almost 9 months old, Harvey is a beautiful, sweet puppy who loves playing in the yard and is kennel trained.

He needs a home without cats, and larger dogs are a better match because he can be too rough with small dogs. He is respectful with people around food, but can be food aggressive with other dogs, so separate feeding is a must. We recommend crate feeding.

Harvey has overcome so many hurdles. Please share to help him find a loving home for his next chapter.

He shouldn’t have to grow up in rescue, he should be growing up with a forever family. Help us spread the word.

He will be at PetSmart in Aberdeen this Saturday! Apply in advance to get pre-approved!

A little rain isn’t stopping us from helping these sweet animals find their forever families! Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens are joining us TODAY and we hope you will, too! 🏡

We know rainy mornings make staying home tempting, but we’re hoping you’ll show up for animals who need you. They need loving homes rain or shine, and we’re here to help make it happen!
