On May 1, 2026 San Diego Humane Society served a search warrant on Villa Chardonnay, an animal sanctuary in Julian. This became the largest animal neglect case in the history of the organization. On Sunday, July 26, three of the horses rescued by San Diego Humane Society were transported to our ranch for care.
According to the , these horses have not had any veterinary care in several years. Dr. Chandler from ECLAP came to our ranch and helped with some needed medical care.
The horses are settling in nicely now and we are providing proper TLC after such a long journey of neglect. We want to thank San Diego Humane Society and their team for rescuing these horses. There are more horse still needing a new home and lots of TLC.

Will welcome any donation considerations to help with the costs of caring for these horses. ZELLE to: San Diego Horse Connection at [email protected]

If you would like to help in their care and can volunteer, please reach out to us.
Thank you to you all.
