2026 peony watch has begun!

We lost around 50 percent of our peony blooms to a late frost this year, so I am watching these beauties like a hawk! We harvest peonies at the marshmallow stage whenever possible, so you are able to enjoy them longer.

These should start popping open in the next week!

Phewwwwww. What a work day!
We finished filling the last 6 raised beds and mulched the dahlia field. After filling the first twelve beds by hand with our mower and dump cart, we called in reinforcements and borrowed a tractor! It made the work go 1,000 times faster. Grateful for our neighbors who let us borrow the tractor.

This has been a huge undertaking and has taken up a lot of our free time this spring, but I know it is going to be worth it and make our lives so much easier in the long run.

Prepping the new dahlia section! I cannot wait to see this in bloom in a few months!
