Let’s talk about building a strong and correct foundation…

2.5 weeks ago Drifter couldn’t walk a circle to the left without stopping his feet, locking up and immediately getting frustrated with trying to figure out what I was asking of him.

By day 3, we were walking left circles, not worrying about shape, but just focusing on building the connection between his face and his feet and realizing that it’s ok to move up into the bridle.

Fast forward to today, and he’s putting it all together going from left to right, counter bending and moving off my leg with ease and confidence!

Seeing all the pieces come together even in this small win of just trotting and maintaining good forward motion while moving off leg and staying soft in the bridle is what I love so much about training horses ❤️

Each horse is a journey and I’m so grateful for clients that choose me to help them along their journey

With spring comes new beginnings and new branding… Triple S Farm is officially the home of MS Performance Horses and I cannot wait to watch this program continue to grow!!!

Tonight we kicked off our Monday Night Rodeo Practices for all our HS Rodeo kids who are gearing up for the first rodeo of the spring semester! It’s so fun watching these kids learn from each other and cheer each other on ❤️

Wishing these three and the rest of the team the best of luck this weekend as I will be cheering them on from afar as I venture to NC for Imafirenhoss’ first futurity 🔥

As the barrel racing and horse world navigates the current EHV-1 outbreak, I will be making some changes to lessons.

Lessons will be schedued with more time in between, so that there is only 1 client on the property at a time.

HAUL-IN CLIENTS:
1️⃣ if you or any horses in your barn have traveled to a large/overnight show in the last 14 days, please stay home and take the necessary precautions.
2️⃣ if you have not traveled and would still like to haul in for your lessons, please keep your horse at your trailer when not in the arena. DO NOT bring horses into the barn, or tie out at the wash area.
3️⃣ please bring your own buckets and water from home for your horses
4️⃣ bits and other equipment will not be available to try and borrow at this time. If you currently have one of my bits on loan, I ask that you return it and it’s headstall to me in a sealed bag so that it can be properly disinfected.
5️⃣ i will not be riding or otherwise coming into contact with external horses. Its not that I dont love you all, but I can barely keep up with laundry as it is, so its not feasible for me to change multiple times a day 😝

JEANS’ CLIENTS: Please help keep Jeans and our herd safe by ensuring you are washing your hands prior to coming and changing clothes if you have been in contact with others at another farm that day.

If we work together we can help keep all our horses safe!
