This is Mello... He was found living in a kennel inside of a car. We don't know how long but on the day we found him it was 90 degrees outside. Someone took him home with them but it seems that Mello would be better in a home with no children and possibly as an only dog. He is quite possessive of his new hoomans. They love him and are heartbroken at this turn of events.

Mello is 4 years old and about 40 lbs. He is housebroken and very loving. He has just been through a lot. We are looking for a foster family to help keep him out of the shelter. I have a feeling that foster life will be really hard for him.

Mellow is not vetted. He needs everything including neutered. Misfit Dog Project has made the offer to pay for all of his medical needs and his food if a foster is found.

Mello needs a chance. If there is anyone out there who can offer him a soft bed until he is fully vetted and available for adoption... Please reach out to us. Thank you all.

This is the face of pure happiness... Raven went to her forever home yesterday and her new mom sent this picture. Thank you to Raven's foster mom for taking care of her and getting her to her new home... And to her new family for adopting her.

Let's talk about Raven. This 3 year old girl is in a loving foster home but we need to find other arrangements for her. One of her fur siblings is just too anxious with Raven's puppy-like energy. It's not Raven's fault but it is hard on her fur sister. Her health is good. She is spayed and will be up to date on her vaccines after her follow up appointment next week. She is heartworm negative and on heartworm and flea and tick prevention.

This is what her foster mom has to say:

Raven:

"Sweet as pie! Genuinely have never met a more loving dog. She wants to be as near you as possible. Super smart and calculates every action. She’s got that stubborn puppy energy/attitude. You could call her ‘Lola’ because “whatever Lola wants, Lola gets”. Even though she is all puppy still, she crates very well and naps when asked throughout the day. However, she can get out of her crate on her own when she’s ready to play. (I have added carabiners to the latches so she can’t hurt herself). She’s still learning the basics, but is fully housebroken.
Loves belly rubs and playing with her foster siblings.

Raven loves toys of any kind! She’s a strong chewer so she can’t have them unattended.

When she’s excited or warm the panting does not stop. Which means the slobber is real. She’s a messy water drinker, so I suggest an absorbent mat under her water bowl and/or outside.

She has some food aggression due to being malnourished in the past, so she eats in her crate happily and gratefully."

EDIT...V has been adopted before we could pull her..We are very happy for her. Thank you everyone for your interest.

This little lady is named V. She is such a Misfit dog and we need to find a foster home for her as soon as possible.

She's about 9 years old and around 10 pounds- she was abandoned in a home She was severely matted covering her entire body. She is missing her right eye and her left has some discoloration and chronic thickening. She is pitiful and needs a soft place to land for a while. Please open your heart and home to this girl to help her trust again. Contact us if you can help. And as always ..SHARE 🙂

We need to tell you all about our amazing vet, Dr Morgan Detweiler and her incredible staff at Townsend Animal Clinic . We have managed to accumulate quite a bill at this clinic. They have been so kind to us but we need to pay this bill down. We are not going to be able to move forward until we do.

This clinic is certified Fear Free. If you are not familiar with this program, please look into it. It can absolutely change the way your pet responds to a normally stressful visit to the vet.

Y'all please share this post far and wide...we are in trouble if we can't find a foster for Raven. We will have to board her...and our funds are short. It is important that we take her back. ( We will go into it later) Please donate if you can and share, share, share. Thank You!

I don't know if y'all remember Raven. She was adopted two years ago. She is being returned to us... I don't have any current pictures of her just yet but I have added her pictures two years ago. She is 3 now and she is a French bulldog mix. We have to find a foster family for her... Please someone help.
