Two grooming suites. Two unique spaces. One shared mission. 💗
Our grooming suites are coming together, and we are SO excited to finally show you some of the progress we've made! But there's actually a lot of thought behind why we designed our salon this way.
At Open Arms Pet Grooming, we believe that grooming should be more than just getting your pet clean and looking adorable. It should be an experience that prioritizes their comfort, safety, and individual needs.
That's why we chose to create two separate, but still viewable, grooming suites!
✨ Less stimulation, less stress. By having individual grooming spaces, we can reduce unnecessary interactions between pets, limit distractions, and create a calmer environment. Not every dog or cat enjoys the company of other pets, and that's perfectly okay! Cats especially can benefit from a quieter, more controlled space, since unfamiliar sights, sounds, and animals can make grooming feel overwhelming.
✨ One-on-one attention. Each pet gets their own space with their groomer, allowing us to focus on their individual comfort, behavior, and grooming needs without the hustle and bustle of a traditional open grooming floor.
✨ Separate, but never isolated. Our interior windows allow us to maintain visibility between grooming suites. This means Ashley and I can keep an eye on one another, communicate, and provide an extra layer of safety while still giving each pet their own space.
✨ A more inclusive grooming experience. Whether we're working with a nervous first-timer, an energetic puppy, a senior needing extra patience, or a pet with special handling needs, these spaces give us more flexibility to meet them where they're at.
And, of course, we're continuing our kennel-free, no nose-to-nose approach to grooming! 💕
Every decision we've made while remodeling our new salon has been about creating a space that works better for the pets in our care, not just making room for more appointments.
We still have some finishing touches ahead of us, but seeing these rooms come to life has been such a rewarding part of this journey. 🥹
Because at Open Arms, we believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and understood. 🐾
