Connecticut Valley Equine Rescue and Sanctuary is seeking a highly qualified barn manager to provide top notch care to our sanctuary horses and boarders. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization. All funds raised from board, lessons and training return to the sanctuary to provide continued care for rescues.
What we’re looking for:
1. Candidate must be over 18 and have reliable transportation, with a valid drivers license.
2. Candidate must have professional references demonstrating knowledge of equine handling and care.
3. Candidate must be able to manage time independently in order to maintain horses’ schedules.
4. Candidate must be willing to work in all weather conditions, safely and effectively.
5. Candidate must be able to lift and move hay bales, 50 pound grain bags, and water buckets.
6. Candidate must be willing to work 5 days per week including weekends! Early mornings and evenings are a must.
Ideally, salary includes full board of one horse with all the same benefits as a paying boarder. We are a family environment and looking for someone who has the same passion for ensuring our horses have the best care we can give!
