Happy National Alligator Day!!

Did you know there are only 2 species of alligator? The Chinese and the American. The Chinese Alligator is currently critically endangered, with less than 150 remaining in the wild.
Also, in 1967 the American Alligator was placed on the endangered list, then in 1987, just 20 years later, the gator was removed from the endangered species list and made history as the fastest species to recover from being endangered!

Every time I am out at the Patterson location working on the building, I have people asking what I will have/do and when I will be open! This looks like it is going to be a busy location!! And I am excited to finally have so much more room!
As we move forward and get closer to opening in the new location, I am looking for local artisans who would be interested in joining me! If you or someone you know would be a good fit, contact me to discuss the possibilities!

Option 2: Monthly Shelf/Space Rental - no commission
Founding Vendor Rental Rate:
Single Shelf: $20/Month
Half Unit: $40/month
Full Unit: $80/month
for the first six months.

*December 1st, regular rental rates will take effect at:
Single Shelf - $35/month
Half Display Unit - $60/month (Approximately half of a bookcase or display unit)
Full Display Unit - $100/month (Full bookcase, cabinet, or equivalent display area)

Products must be approved and fit the Nature Cottage brand and mission.
Vendors will be required to maintain attractive displays and inventory must be restocked regularly.
The Nature Cottage will handle all sales through its register and provide a sales report/payout every two weeks.

WOW… what a weekend!!
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to visit the zoo this weekend. Seeing families walk through the exhibits, hearing kids laugh and ask questions, and watching people light up when they saw the animals… that’s exactly why we do this.
Your support, your excitement, your kind words, and even your curiosity fuels my fire more than you know.
Every visit, every conversation, every smile reminds me that we’re building something special here—something bigger than just a zoo. And because of YOU, the drive to keep improving, expanding, and pushing forward is stronger than ever.

Not only do we wish to make this a fun experience for everyone, we want to ensure our animals stay safe and as stress free as possible. So we have made some rules so everyone and every critter can enjoy their time here at G&J Exotics. Rules will also be posted at zoo entry as well as seen scrolling on the monitors. Cannot wait to see everyone April 24th-26th!!
