RIP sweet babies…

Friday, 9/4/26 was heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹

June, Benny and Marshmallow were laid to rest. Their suffering has ended.

A piece of me left with them.

It is a sad reality that we aren’t always able to save every horse that we take in. It is never easy.

On today’s episode of “Rescue never sleeps”…

Hank (grey) and Wh***ey (paint) came in to our rescue today.

They are older geldings that need groceries and will be assessed by our vets to see what else may be going on.

Adding them means we now support 16 horses in all stages of recovery. ❤️‍🩹

(This includes 2 therapy minis, 1 donkey and 1 mule)

I’d like to ad that we still have 112 Jim Click Tickets for sale as we need your support to continue caring for the animals in our care🙏🏻
Please consider grabbing yours if you haven’t already…

UPDATE: Sadly we lost this mare today after a long, hard struggle. Thank you all for your prayer.
May peace find her family…losing a horse is heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹
🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

I’ve been trying to find the time to post an update on the 3 horses that came in earlier

Unfortunately, rescue hasn’t stopped long enough to give me a moment to gather my thoughts.

Today we have an urgent case that we are assisting with. We are giving this mare a chance at survival by giving IV fluids and observing for any further complications.

I’m not able to give more details other than she needs your prays along with treatment we are giving her 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I hope you all are have a wonderful week so far!

Today I spent the afternoon bringing this beautiful soul into our rescue for TLC and to begin his recovery to a new life💕🙏🏻💕

He’s an older Appaloosa gelding that has seen better days…and tonight he’s on his way back to better days🎉

We are incredibly grateful that we have had so much support over the years…YOU are the HEROs that are needed for us to do the work we do…whether you donate funds or supplies; or volunteer your time to assist us with daily chores or events, we are GRATEFUL for your BELIEF in our lifesaving work💗🐴

We accept donations and volunteer inquiries on our website

www.d-srescue.org

Donations are also accepted via Zelle: 520-425-7615

***Please STAY TUNED for progress updates-not only on today’s new intake but also on the THREE horses I will be picking up tomorrow (8/5). They are in similar condition and are 2.5 hours from us***

All 4 new intakes could use your good vibes and PRAYER.
They are all considered critical care intakes…🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
