Coming this weekend...
I NEED HELP!

We thought we were safe from hurricanes this season. But there is currently a storm brewing in the Gulf and pretty much every spaghetti model has it coming right over top of us. Every day they are predicting a stronger storm. I need to prep just in case! The animals depend on me.

BUGGY REPAIRS - First and foremost, I need the buggy fixed. (Cub Cadet ATV) It may have been bad gas, I am not sure, but after I filled it, it started sputtering, stalled, and now it won't start. If there is anyone mechanically inclined that can come take a look and see if it can be fixed, I would greatly appreciate it. We don't have the budget to spend on our usual mechanic who comes to the farm. I am hoping someone will volunteer to help us out. I HAVE to have this buggy to zip around the farm quickly during and after storms to make sure all the animals are safe and tend to emergencies or downed fences, trees, etc.

FOOD -- We are low on dry dog food and senior horse feed for Tyrion the geriatric mini donkey. I like to have at least a week's worth of dog food on hand just in case travel is impacted. Canned dog food is also appreciated! We are going through a lot more with a few of the dogs needing medication multiple times a day.

WATER -- I always keep jugs of water on hand and fill all the tubs, troughs, etc, before the storms hit. But with 22 dogs currently in the house, having extra water on hand would be ideal. We have a well -- and no power means no water! I have added water to the Walmart wish list as it is cheapest there.

BLANKETS -- the washing machine is throwing fits and not wanting to complete a cycle. I have mounds of dirty blankets and none clean and ready to go. If anyone would like to take our blankets to the laundromat, that would help a ton. AND/OR we are always grateful for blanket donations. Muddy, rainy weather means we will be going through more blankets than usual. I like to keep the dogs cozy. They deserve that! Blankets are also on the Walmart and Amazon wish lists.

ENRICHMENT -- hurricanes mean that dogs will be locked in the house for long hours with no yard time. Bully sticks, Busy Bones, filled bones, and new toys (those BarkBox toys that are 3 toys in one are their favorites and last longer than most others) help keep them occupied while the storm moves over us.

CLEANING SUPPLIES -- we have a few brave dogs that will potty in the rain. Some will hold it until they explode. And a few say, "Eh, this spot in the house works." I have plenty of wee wee pads on hand, but we are LOW on gloves and paper towels. Bleach would be great, too, as well as the cleaning sprays from the Walmart or Amazon wish lists.

I will post the links in the comments. If anyone would like to drop off supplies or ship them from elsewhere, please send a message for the address.

Thank you for helping!! 💚
