🐾 Love surgery. Want more room for life outside it?

PEAK Veterinary Surgical Solutions is looking for a small animal surgeon to join our team as our Arizona Clinical Lead in the Phoenix area.

PEAK is an established mobile referral surgery practice entering its next phase of growth. We bring advanced surgery directly to partner veterinary hospitals along with our own dedicated PEAK surgical and anesthesia support team.

Here’s what the opportunity offers:

🗓️ Monday–Thursday clinical schedule
🌙 No routine ER, overnight, weekend, or on-call responsibilities
💰 Strong compensation and production package with no negative accrual
🎉 Sign-on bonus offered
🌴 Paid time off
📚 Paid CE days and a CE allowance
🩺 Medical and 401(k)
🚗 PEAK vehicle, business phone, and laptop

You’ll step into an established Phoenix referral network, work alongside experienced support staff, and help shape PEAK’s Arizona clinical team for the years ahead.

Board certification in small animal surgery strongly preferred. Exceptional residency trained candidates may also be considered.

Sweet little Brandi 🐾
Today 4 lb 17-week-old Brandi underwent surgery with PEAK Surgery to repair a tibial tuberosity avulsion or TTA—an injury where the bony attachment of the patellar tendon is pulled away from the front of the tibia. Because the patellar tendon is responsible for extending the knee, this type of injury makes it painful and difficult for pets to bear weight on the affected leg.
During surgery, the avulsed bone fragment was carefully realigned and secured back into place using orthopedic implants, restoring the normal mechanics of the knee and giving the bone the stability it needs to heal properly. We're so proud of this brave little girl and wish her a smooth recovery back to running, jumping, and all the puppy adventures ahead! 🐶 💛💜

PEAK Veterinary Surgical Solutions recently partnered with Northern Regional Veterinary Hospital to perform a femoral fracture repair on Noah, a young Labrador Retriever. The fracture was a challenge due to it's chronicity (~2+ weeks), but we were able to repair it using a specialized bone plate with 7 locking screws, IM pin, and 5 orthopedic wires.

Northern Regional Veterinary Hospital

PEAK routinely offers advanced surgical care to hospitals throughout the Valley, supporting local teams with specialized orthopedic and soft tissue procedures.

🌮🐶 Cinco de Mayo: Surgical Edition 🐶🌮

Orthopedic surgery doesn’t take a holiday. Today, our mobile surgical team is out serving in a different way—trading tacos for tools and fiestas for fractures. 🦴🔧

We’re performing a fracture repair today at Urgent Pet Care in Surprise, AZ. We are focused on restoring mobility and comfort so pets can get back to what they love most—running, jumping, and living life to the fullest with the families who love them. 🐾

🐾 The Cone of Shame… or Cone of Safety? 🐾
We all know that look 😅—the moment your pet realizes the cone has entered the chat.
After surgery, one of the biggest risks to healing is licking, chewing, or scratching at the incision site. Even a few seconds of licking can introduce bacteria and increase the risk of infection or delayed healing. 🦠
That’s why the cone (or recovery collar) is such a key part of post-op care—it protects the surgical site so stitches stay clean, intact, and on track to heal properly. 🛠️✨
A few helpful reminders for pet parents:
🐾 Keep the cone on at all times unless you’re directly supervising your pet
🐾 Keep furniture paths clear
🐾 Use soft bedding to prevent bumping
🐾 Check for rubbing or discomfort so adjustments can be made
🐾 Stay consistent—most pets adapt faster than you’d expect
At PEAK Veterinary Surgical Solutions, we help clinics and pet owners set pets up for the safest, smoothest recovery possible—because protecting the incision is just as important as the surgery itself. 💙🐶🐱
What’s the funniest thing your pet has done while wearing a cone? 👇

Post-op p**p talk 💩 (because someone has to say it):
After anesthesia and surgery, it’s totally normal for pets to take 3–5 days to have a bowel movement. Those opioids we use for pain control can slow things down—like, way down.

As long as your pet is comfortable, eating, and not straining or repeatedly posturing to go, we’re not worried.

So if things are… quiet back there, don’t panic. Good things (and good p**ps) take time 😉

“Does your pet have a unique name? Share it along with the story behind it!”

I'm Kelley, one of the Surgery Techs with PEAK Surgery.
My Cat is Oscar the Grouch. He was found in a trash can at 2 weeks old and I bottle fed him and raised him. He definitely fits his name, green eyes, always in trouble and mostly grouchy!
