Be that weird guy who pulled over and checked on the animal that was hit by a car to see if it was still alive and needed help.

Be the construction worker that left work early while his buddies laughed at him because he found an injured squirrel and wanted to get it to safety.

Be the irritating woman who isn’t afraid to stop traffic because a mama duck is trying to cross the road with her babies.

Be the gross person who isn’t disgusted by a mangy fox and sees it as an animal that needs help from the right people.

Be the aggravating informant who tells the guy buying rat poison what it does to our local wildlife.

Be the uncool kid who stops his friends from trying to hurt a snake they found for fun.

When we start feeling bad or embarrassed for showing EMPATHY toward another and trying to SAVE A LIFE, then we have let the opinions of others mean WAY too much.

Never apologize for being a good and caring human being. There aren’t enough in this world.

Huey is very sick. He had a rough night of vomiting and hasn’t wanted to eat. We are at the vet with him now and estimate over $1100 just to start for diagnostics. We can really use your donations at this time. Please help us help Huey. ❤️

As some of you may remember, Maggie was surrendered to us because her elderly owners developed significant medical issues, and their adult daughter felt she didn’t have any other choice but to euthanize Maggie

We took Maggie, and her brother Chico, into our rescue.

Maggie has slimmed down almost 30 pounds, and now enjoys being able to chase a ball again

Seniors should not be discarded …… as they just need the right rescue and the perfect adopters.

In a small Indiana city, parking fines were transformed into an act of kindness.

Muncie police partnered with the local animal shelter to give residents a choice: settle outstanding parking tickets not with money, but with donations of cat food, kitten formula, and litter. The shelter was struggling to keep up with the needs of more than 350 cats, and supplies were running low.

The response went far beyond expectations. Drivers showed up with bags of food stacked in their arms, boxes of litter in their trunks, and hearts fully on board. Some people didn’t even have tickets to clear — they came anyway, simply because animals needed help.

What could have been a routine enforcement program turned into a powerful moment of community care. One creative decision turned frustration into generosity, and punishment into relief for hundreds of shelter cats.

Sometimes, the best solutions aren’t about collecting money — they’re about giving people a chance to do good.
